  • The present video namely Update of Adenium`s Multiple V Grafting shows how four adenium seedlings are grafted in a single root stock. Here V grafting method is followed. First the rootstock is deheaded. Then a V cit is made. The seedlings are also cut in V shape. Now the seedlings are set in the V cut of the rootstock and fixed with super glue. They are also secured with grafting tape. Finally the rootstock along with the scions is covered with a plastic tape. The purpose of this covering is to retain moisture and to prevent rain water from entering into the grafting area. After 15 days the plastic bag is removed and found that the four scions are all alive and have become active. So it`s a successful project.
    This grafting is made for making the adenium plant a beautiful bonsai. The scions are cut in the root level. So all the scions will grow with massive caudex and roots. In a different project shown towards the end of this video roots are found to grow from the grafting point. Likewise the four seedlings in the present project will grow roots from the grafting point and in future the roots along with the four caudexes will become matured and fat. On the other hand, here the single rootstock holds four scions. These four scions will produce branches; the branches will be trimmed and multiplied resulting in a dense canopy. Taking all in all, the present project will be a masterpiece bonsai in my collection. This is the objective of the present project.
    I promise to my viewers to be present with the progress of this project in future. And to view the progress as well as many other new and interesting projects, the viewers are requested to subscribe my channel. They may click on the Bell icon to get notifications of my new videos. I would like to tender my sincere thanks to UA-cam Audio Library for the music used in this video.

    Sir more thing I want to ask is should the plant be watered after grafting or before grafting

    • @dotbasecamp
      @dotbasecamp  4 роки тому +1

      2-3 days before grafting. But the root stock will not go in water stress. Apply water 3-4 days after grafting.Again soil must be moistened all the time. Other wise scion may dry out. i got better result drying the scion in shade for 48 hours. You have to schedule everything through practice and considering soil condition plant health etc. have a good luck.

      As for chemical you may use 20:20:20 once in 4-6 weeks for normal plants and 13:13:13 for bonsai plants.
