I was so sad when I heard a while ago that Gerry had passed. He wasn't even that old... may the Peace of God rest on him.
Excellent! Honest and forthright. I love the bit where he names the corrupt officials who contributed to his misery.
Absolutely, name the evil corrupt law enforcement scum , I really hope there is a God , so these evil GESTAPO bastards get their just rewards.
I grew up knowing Gerry Conlon, he was the same age as me but looking 20 years older. In Belfast he was just an ordinary guy, bit extreme in his behaviour, bit of a cowboy as we might say, but no better nor worse than anybody else. Yet not the only one to suffer or die at the hands of the British.
It is absolutely disgraceful what happened to Gerry Conlon, as an Englishman myself, I find myself sick to the pit of my guts that the police could do that to people, our police back in that day were no better than Hitlers Gestapo...I am not a person who is ashamed of many things, but stories like this makes me sick
Gerry Conlon's a total liar you shouldn't believe anything he says about his case.
Thank you David for your honesty.
Most Irish people understand that the vast majority of good decent English people are like ourselves, discussed with corruption in politics, and police with miscarriages of justice. May Justice always, and continue to prevail, however long it takes.
I agree with what you’re saying David ‘ but the Police are just a tiny part of this’
The orders came from way above the police’
It must have been the establishment at that time’ I’m sure someone can name the top people in charge then ‘ Corrupt vile people in charge of a country’ just like that prat with a Crown 👑 on he’s head’ Shame on them all.
True Irish man! Proud to be Irish.
I can't believe how little views that this has. This is powerful
I remember this time very well,as we were all Irish ,it made me feel very insecure , going about my business, trying not to open my mouth in case they realised I was Irish too, not an easy time to be Irish in London.
R.I.P Gerry
This still happens today. Not only in Northern Ireland or in England towards the Irish prisoners, but all over the world human and civil rights have no value, if this is useful to ideologies. What Gerry Conlon suffered because of the "British unjustice" is a shame, nor did he and the Guildford 4 had a compensation for their youth stolen away. Gerry is a great person who never stops, since his release, to fight for the human and civil rights of all the prisoners wrongly convicted.
I remember the day he was released. Will never forget it.. RIP Gerry. 🇮🇪🍀
Richard Hewitt I'll say a prayer for you you are more to be pitied than any thing else Gerry Conlon was innocent sit and listen to his story it was because of the like of you and your like that the world is the way it is when will people like you ever learn to all of Gerry's family keep strong and always remember Gerry is safe into the arms of his beloved Innocent father and mother and will always be remembered with love and pride while you will long be forgotten Sleep easy Gerry Rip England's crimes will never be forgotten and neither will you or your family God bless you all
God bless Gerry Conlon
god bless you gerry conlon
Brilliant, Powerful stuff.
Strong mind.
Rip Gerry
It’s terrible what happened to him and his friends and family.
RIP brother
A great Irish man.
Apparently my comments were stricken from here. Free speech, what a joke. I'll just say I'm saddened and sickened to the Guildford 4 and all those whom were affected by it, as well as those that are currently undergoing the same atrocities across the World. Sickened that I am a part of this "human race". My mother always told me I was only one person and would never make a difference when I stood against what I thought was wrong at my own expense. I say that's not true, it's when we believe that we can't make a difference we don't.
The wrongful conviction drained the blood of both Carol and Gerry. Gerry wrote his book and did this speaking tour but suffered trauma seeking solace in substance abuse. Carole died at the age of 55.
If any viewer thinks that the UK justice system has reformed, Google "Andrew Malkinson".
Why haven't the police officers involved been prosecuted?
Because they were givin special powers it wasn’t just them it was the whole crown
RIP sir
Education.
R.I.P. Gerry Conlon. Did Sinn Fein do anything for you?
The true story.
Translate to spanish (subtittles) please !!
Exactly.
RIP Gerry, innocent till proven Irish! TAL
And to make the shame bigger, they did the same to the Birmingham six...
I never understood why Gerry stayed in England after ehat they did to him and his father
Sorry about this but I have Dave McSavage's Joe Duffy in mind while listening to this. It's terrible stuff but needs to be known.
Such a travesty that this man did NOT train as a civil rights lawyer . He would have been AWESOME
RIP Gerry Conlon
Oliver Feeney Gerry Conlon is one good man he's suffered the loss in his father died in jail he did suffer god rest your soul Gerry Conlon
Ask that man to help the Ukrainian people.
What a shame ! It would have been justice if a couple of those officers were murdered sometime. They really deserved it.

My parents loved me. They also loved my sister, especially when she was caught up in the Guildford Pub Bombings in October 1974, as I well remember.
Does anybody know what happened to the 2 Police officers who Gerry NAMED in this video? Saul Grundy ‘
and Inspector Jeremy ‘ hopefully they’re in prison where they belong? But I doubt it ‘
British justice 😳= SHIT.
I won't miss Gerry Conlon. Whether he was an IRA member or not he spent his time since his release as a propagandist for republicans.
Abuse and demonisation rather than argument. You and Conlon would have got on very well!
jonoessex They killed his father and made him watch. You haven't walked a mile in this man's shoes, i think its unfair of you to judge him.
No they did not. Gerry Conlon is a total liar who will say anything to stir up hatred of the British. He certainly judges us so I think I have the right to judge him.
Disgusting justice system in the UK
R.I.P Gerry
I know his father would be proud of the man he became
