Just Saw the vid. i liked the song and they showed the guitar solo... My biggest thing i have against metal vids, the vids not showing the guitar soloa
Talk about uneducated bashing - someone please get this guy a ladder so he can poke his head above these walls of amps and cabs. Jokes aside I don't think the song's sound or even just the vocals in it have anything to do with Iron Maiden, Judas Priest or Saxon (I'm assuming those bands, since you're saying high-pitched and very early 80s, pre-thrash). In fact the chorus riff sounds a lot like Slayer with the one in the interlude and during the main solo sounding like something straight out of Testament's later albums. As for the vocals JSS doesn't need introduction or to prove himself to anyone, WTF?! I think he went for a preacher kind of tone with his voice and it's still very farm from high-pitched such as the yowling and screeching you'd hear in heavy and power metal. BtW have you listened to 1988's Forbidden Evil? I hope you kept playing that album after the first 15 seconds. The most cringe thing in the video is the editing and hectic moving of people all around the picture. I guess all of Dave's money got taken by his ex-wife in the divorce and it's obvious the budget for the video was measured in cents/pennies. Maybe doing the fire thrower "stunt" was the single most expensive part of the video. It'd have been so much better if they made a lyric video or something, but JSS and Ellefson's famous mugs wouldn't be on show.
Never heard of JSS before but I've never been a Malmsteen fan and TSOrchestra is just a Christmas show to me. Haha. Even if they wanted to stay in that early 80s genre, I think they could have done a better job. Then again, someone who toured with Dave said he's a really nice guy who just happens to prefer a more radio friendly style of metal outside of Megadeth. After listening to this, it seems to be right on the head. As long as they're happy, that's all that really matters but they'll have a tough time trying to pull in MD fans.
@@louistorres "radio-friendly" style is exactly what I'd call it, too - especially now after I heard their other single. Well I have to admit about that one they definitely could've done better. However if that's what Ellefson likes to do, I can't blame him from trying to get out of MD and Mustaine's shadow. That's who he was to such a great degree - MD's bassist. Also it really feels like he's starting from scratch with that cringe video.
Yes bro, it's a weird concept. Good for that old school vibe but I wanted him to come out punching hard. DIETH is the other hand he's in but that's not even his music.
I would have heavily preferred a studio playthrough to that bad video, the song itself is also kinda generic boring, I feel like with some more dynamics in the vocals it could have been a good song, but theres things he seems to want to emphasize but he keeps it the same level during them. don't want to call it monotone but felt like he should have gone higher / out of that same pocket at points. but hey exactly as expected out of christian rock. basically the vocals were a terrible cheese fest, but people in the comments seemed to have loved it so what do i know.
Hey man. First off I respect your opinion and for putting your video out there. You made a few good points about the song and Ellefson. I give you that. But man your pretty far off with explaining the song and sound a little biased towards your own taste. I'm a huge Slayer fan too and all but entertain many types of metal and understand different styles. Open up a little more and have some fun bro. Lol I feel like your hero is Hatebreed. Or Five finger death Punch. 🤣 That would be terrible if true. Probably is. You kind of look like the Dad from Gilmore Girls need to update the 90s backward hat look bruh. 🤣 But seriously just roasting you a bit for teasing Dave its all good much love man we are all metal music fans.
@@louistorres I don’t think so; check out The Lucid, Deith and now “Kings of thrash”, he just takes any gig that comes his way, and each one is more pathetic than the one that came before.

Not a big fan of Soto’s vocals but the riffs are pretty good. I like it🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
He's a great singer, for sure! I was just reading that he was in Journey and in the Trans Siberian Orchestra too.
@@louistorres well that’s cool. I never knew he was in Journey
I've had nachos with less cheese 😅😅😅 ... I've definitely heard worse though
Damn you! It's 9am and now I want nachos!!! Hahaha!
I didn’t think the song was bad.
For the style, it's not a bad song but if it were 1986, I honestly don't think it would have been a popular song.
@@louistorres most likely it wouldn’t be popular but it was still cooll
I'm 56 & It's kinda corny to me & sounds like old Malmsteen with Jeff Scott Soto back when I was in high school...!!!

Wow. Greenscreen cheese. You are correct. So hard to watch..........
Everything is a wee bit corny and nothing I expected but maybe it should have been expected?

Yeah, I felt the same. I'm just one person. I don't like Nickelback but millions do! Haha!
haha very Manowar cheesy stuff indeed.
Yes bro! I totally agree, it's dated compared to today's popular metal.

These songs aren’t nearly as bad as the videos make them out to be…. It’s pretty cheesy though
It's decent for rock radio but there aren't many left, so it'll be tough for them to gain steam.
That just sucks 💩
Ellefson is a huge disappointment, both with his new bands and as a person in general.
I think he could have done better but maybe this is what he was looking to do all along. Something that brings him to the music he grew up with.

Oh dear god, that's awful. If dogshit had a specific sound that would be it.
WOW! Your nickname looks so f****n good on You!
