I just started using busuu for Italian and when you feel comfortable enough you can also pay for 1 on 1 live lessons (8-10£) each, which saves looking for a tutor, and there are weekly goals like describing a picture, reading a passage and practicing your oral overall. Fab app.

I have used it for about 5 hours combined and can speak very basic Russian. It works very well.

Thank you Shea!! I found your channel because I am trying to learn Spanish. I was doing 30 minutes a day, 6 days a week since August. However, this month I have stopped studying for the last week or so and finding it hard to get back into it. Maybe I just need something different. I am going to give Busuu a try!

Love Busuu! I did Italian on there too but I did it from German. I hope they add more languages. The premium version is definitely worth it.

Busuu is amazing. I've met many friends on there and I've learned a lot. I'm even able to communicate with them because, as I said, I was able to learn.

Busuu simply put me back on tracks with language learning. It's the perfect mix between gamification and actual work.
I dropped Duolingo about two years ago, it was tedious and ineffective and it's going in the wrong direction.
Busuu is basically a functional Duolingo with every possible mistakes corrected.
Currently, I'm taking A1 Russian course and it is going really fast, my progression is steady, really progressive difficulty wise and it is so much fun!

@@user-ej3df4gw1s Pretty bad, Russian is too difficult for me, I switched three month ago for Portuguese and it's way better. Busuu is not concerned by my lack of progress in Russian, that app is good. I'm just not suited to learn a language that far from my native language.

My way to learn a language is to speak with people. I tried different apps and i am trying to read book and writing at the same time it doesn't work for me at all i forget everything in a second . When i hear some words or phrases from someone i never forget. 🇨🇵

Quizlet and Busuu are different. Quizlet is for flashcards and Busuu had exercises to do to practice a language! You can use both :) for free!

I love your videos!!! But...what's the difference between Duolingo and Busuu, it seems like they are similar?
Busuu is focused on listening to and reading the target language. You are regularly prompted to speak and write and natives that you can befriend will correct you. It’s way better designed than duolingo since you learn sentences you can actually use (which Duo doesn’t care about as much ). Having used both plenty, Busuu wins hands down.

Hello ma'am, I've been using Busuu for the past few months and is getting better at japanese ☺ since i was new to Busuu at the beginning i accidentally clicked English instead of Italian and now i cannot remove the English course and add a replacement of Italian so can you or someone help me with this?

@@its_.obsession595 I might be a bit late with the reply but here’s what I know. On the upper left corner you see the country flag of the language you’re currently studying. Click on that and it’ll lead you to the courses. From there you can choose any of the available language courses.
How to remove a preexisting language course though I don’t know.

Good review of the Busuu app. I'm currently learning German on Busuu for free. Is it worth upgrading to premium membership?
I personally love the Premium access. If it's really something you know you'll stick with, I think it's a worthy investment. I think they're also having some sales right now!

Hi there, I’ve been learning Italian for almost 2 years now and this video was purely a review of things I liked about Busuu. I didn’t expect to dramatically improve just by using Busuu because I don’t believe you can learn a language only using an app. My other videos show progress, including some videos completely in Italian. This video was a review, not necessarily to show some huge amount of progress, so I’m sorry if that’s what you were looking for! But I said, I don’t think you can improve just from an app. I read in Italian daily, listen to italian podcasts, talk with a tutor, journal in Italian, and do much more than just use an app.

I'm currently using Duo to learn Spanish but I'm getting seriously fed up with having to replenish hearts and I'm not paying £12 so I'm going to try Busuu

I would recommend not using it as your ONLY study source! Check out my other videos for more Italian resources. You definitely need a balance of other resources :)

Do you feel like you could become conversational solely with Busuu?
I don't think you should rely on one language learning app to full learn a language - so no. I think it's a great supplement but I really don't think you can become fully conversational just with Busuu. It's important to practice real conversations and also watch show/tv series to learn common phrases in context.
@@SheaJordan Yes. Never rely on just one app. Reading, writing, listening and speaking all need to be practised.

How we can talk with friends on this program
There are some exercises where you can get them corrected by native speakers. But other than that you can't really connect with friends on this app.

I think the free version is still helpful! But I also don’t think you should only use a language learning app if you want to be fluent. I would use a bunch of resources and use an app as an extra way to practice. You could try the free version at least!

I was learning Japanese, It was really easy learning by Busuu but after just 4 lessons we need premium I didn’t liked that thing :(
Once you have the money for large scale subscriptions you’ll probably overlook that and you’ll find that the price is pretty reasonable.

That's a good question! I'm not sure, I haven't tried Busuu with Japanese. You can try it for free and find out!
I'm learning japanese on Busuu, and it teaches you all of the hiragana, katakana, and even kanji :)
@@claire.823 I tried it and its quite unnatural to be honest. The first lesson is introducing yourself. and saying 私は "insert name" です (my name is "insert name") is unnatural. No one actually talks like that in Japan. This app unfortunately teaches "text book" stuff. As far as I know it teaches only the polite language (masu, desu etc.) whitch would be quite weid if you talked like that with friends or your classmates or your family. Don't get me wrong im not hating on the app but i think i found a better source to learn Japanese and I have literally ALL reasons to elieve that its legit Japanese and not "unnatural Textbook Japanese" nearly ALL apps and schools teach. There are a lot of real life examples and intervievs and you see right from the beginning that real life japanese people speak really different.

@@claire.823 the guy has a UA-cam channel named ( the Japanese man yuta) and he is a native Japanese man who also lives in Japan and. has lots of experience learning other languages so that’s the first thing why you can trust him when you watch one of his videos there will be a link at the beginning or the end of the Video where he says let’s learn real Japanese. You click on it and out you email there and after that you will get a few mails which are containing the lessons. There is also a premium course whitch is a must in my opinion because he is so good and you will really be learning Japanese and I mean the kind that people in Japan actually speak and not the nonsense that all the apps or schools teach and he will explain why 私は „insert name“ です is so unnatural and will also explain how to say it the right way. I watched some lessons and I already can understand really really basic sentences from anime or real life interviews. I even made my own sentence using the grammar he thaught in the first lesson. Well, it’s a really stupid sentence but it’s right ( I believe) haha. So try it and you won’t regret it and forget the apps
