Fantastic video, must have taken ages to edit this...with my limited skills I know! Great job!!
Lel the G version of Jan Gustafsson at 3:00 :D
Song?
Gears of Steel
@@mayankkhatri8107 thanks!!
fantastically cut together.. if you do it again it would be good to patch out the scores from the chess 24 boards before you (re)reveal the result.. to add tension for us forgetfuls
Awesome video
Who needs a highlight reel when we're already reliving draw after draw after draw?
Fantastic video 👏🏻
Sergey really had to push for another win during the classical time control games, the chance was there a couple of times. Beating Magnus in the rapid playoff is quite unlikely for most players. Fabiano should learn from this to give himself the best chance.
Wow amazing words considering fabiano didnt learn from this and got crushed in the rapid tie breaks as well.
you called it
Called!
That aged well
This was an amazing championship. The broadcast with Peter Svidler and Jan Gustafsson was both exciting and funny. When Karjakin won game 8, I thought WTF!? but was almost certain that Carlsen would win one of the remaining classical games - and he did. Then the tie-break! I had some good wine and chips and sat on the edge of my chair. In the end, I felt a bit sorry for Karjakin, but Carlsen proved once again he was the King. And now (2024) chess24 is soon gone, unfortunately, it has by far been the best site to watch tournaments.
Karjakin was so close..
So this is why Magnus plays so much bullet chess. In long games it's almost guaranteed to be a draw and in the tie breakers one must have nerves of steel.
I agree Karjakin was close but Carlsen wasn't even 70% of his best in the classical portion .
What's the closest anyone's gotten to beating Magnus Carlsen in a WC?
This is currently the closest obviously.
Brilliant video, brilliant magnus, brilliant sergey, brilliant queen sacrifice
Has magnus answered what was the hardest WCC match he played?
Loved the editing! Do you have one like this for 2018?
They should do another in november, and I would like to see another videos like This but for other matches like K vs K, Capablanca vs Alekhine etc...
Very entertaining to watch. Let's hope next championship will be even more fun!
10/10.
Hopefulle FIDE will kick out Karjakin soon.
Yo this recap is soooooo good!
Awesome video
I like the editing and production
Beautiful editing :)
10:33 How often is it that someone makes a move never seen before in a chess game?
It always happens eventually, its just that at the highest level they usually have the first 10-20 moves studied ahead of time
12 year old Karjakin would have crushed 12 year old Carlsen ? Really ?
yeah
I mean yeah because karjakin was much better at that time, but that doesn’t matter at all lol. Magnus is obviously way better now
Vishy is the only player after Magnus in the Rapid tie breaker record he won 2020,2012 world championship in Rapid tie breaks beating topalov and Gelfand
This match is so incredible
