    • @amplethought
      @amplethought  7 місяців тому +16

      If I’m to aim for the perfect guitar pedal video, you are absolutely correct: I must and I ought, so I shall.
      But here’s some waxing poetic to fill your boots…
      “This overdrive has probably been my closest friend. Through good times and bad, I knew I had a winner when I walked into an old mom n’ pop music store in Havre, Montana and the guy across the checkout said, “How’s about it, stranger? What’ll be, then?” He had a glass eye and a lame right leg that led me to believe, ‘This guy’s seen some shit.’ He brought over a rack of quakers, shakers, and zoomers. I tried ‘em all on a 1972 Fender Twin Reverb with the dual Vibrato knobs in steel black. And then I saw THIS box in the corner under a muffler and a bag of old Rickenbacker tubes. I felt Ritchie Valens’ spirit push me to ask, ‘What about this one?’ He said, quivering as he turned the satin sheet over it, ‘You don’t want that one…. It’s …. cursed.’
      Haunted as it may be, I needed to know. You can hear the fibrillation between the anodes. Listen. (Cadd9) Delicious. Wait, one more. (Amin pent arpeggio) Isn’t it just … EEGGHHH
      Anyway, he warned me… but I insisted. We still keep in touch.”

    I really love the G. Rockettz Fuzzy Fuzz Fuzz fizz pedal. It's got a three on three man run DMC, with active frizz control, but the real secret is how it switches between the two resting zesters. You can move seamlessly between NasX silly convention or the German G. RocketttZ, ethically sourced from Ethiopia. It's a little pricy at $350 and it's only available from G. Rockettttz' website or drive through window, but it's a real workhorse - I use it to pull the plow in the fields.

      Wampjhsbosmonix is a real workhorse I use for my butter-shrouding plippy rev-dom band. Imagine if Mike Tyson had a blues metal band that only covered Deftones songs recorded in F#maj. Then cross that with Creed, Patsy Cline, and Styx. Then add a horn section mainly consisting of two dozen sousaphones and trombones. Then add barley and FunDip. Boom. That’s rev-dom in a nutshell. But not cashews. Which I don’t think come in a shell. But NEVER cashews. That’s very important. Iron Mike don’t mess around.
