Hi I just got an interview invite from the m Yale for transfer adnuasiom. It says my interview will be conducted by an admission officer. Will I be notified of the name of the interviewer before the interview so that I can research the interviewer? Thank you!
Thank you! Do you think it's appropriate to send them a gift card a while after the interview? Maybe a little after they've submitted whatever form they submit for interviewees?
Not necessary but if you really do want to, I’d only send one if you really liked the interviewer and you were able to get into the college. Personally I wouldn’t (and didn’t) send any gifts, a thank you email should be enough and letting them know you got in when you do also! Some people might see it as disrespectful/only sending because you want to get in, so be cautious.
I think it's good etiquette, but finding the right time is the best solution. Like I want them to know I appreciate them but also don't want it to influence what they say, and I don't want it to be only if I get in. @@kareem7419
definitely NO. send them an email saying thank you and expressing ur appreciation/gratitude for sure but not a gift card. that comes off as desperate, unnecessary, and bribery. it's about your personality and qualities and skills not money/gifts. so pls don't do that haha
Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I just wanted to show my appreciation after they submit it so that it won't influence their choice while showing gratitude, but maybe it'll have the wrong message so I probably won't @@yutasnonexistentlines4904

At least in my experience, it is a no-no to ask what other colleges the applicant has applied to.

That video should be going up next week :)
Are the tips similar for master’s degree/post-graduate studies in Ivy Leagues?
