Only used about 6 times so far but food turning out great. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxK2YRU9uBOXzuIEV660Qo3sX7dJDJLg72 Nice tender roasts. You do want to get a lid to go over your stock pot to keep water from evaporating. I've used it for 6-48 hours with lots of luck. A lot is trial and error to figure out since thickness and cut help determine the best time. 135 always gives a perfect med (pink all the way through). I cooked frozen solid 3 1/2" roast for 48 hours ... it was so tender its almost falling apart. Nice to put it in and just forget about it, with silicone lid I didn't have to add water at all during 48 hours.
We still got our Foodsaver from 10 years ago, still working strong. Not like these ridiculous bulky Foodsaver brands of today. Ours fits in a 6 inch high drawer. The 2 Foodsaver's here require an extension high rise! Plus another negative are all the nooks and crannies that need to be kept clean from dust and other particulates. Not all of us have kitchens the size of soccer fields!
If you have any problems or need to replace anything under warranty, Koios customer service is not good at all. My Koios started malfunctioning within a year and I still haven’t been able to get in contact with anyone to fulfill my warranty.
Hi! Can u tell me about sealer food with water on it. Example: I just cleaned the fish and I want to seal it up. How can I do? I try to do it already but the sealer not seal it.
What is the width of the actual seal? (My foodsaver is 20 years old and the seal is NOT wide and doesn’t always stay sealed. I rarely used it because it doesn’t have a nice wide seal.)
All these are total garbage compared to the avid armor us 20 or us 30 to the abbot armour us 20 is $399 but is a vacuum chamber dry rocker system lightweight small footprint and you can do soups and everything with it I've been so happy since I got it it's amazing
Too bad no one makes one with these two features: 1) DOUBLE seal simultaneously. 2) Print or somehow mark the bag with the date each time it is used. 3) Auto Notch the bag edge for easy opening later. I did notice that none of them notch the bags for easy opening. Need scissors or knife to open the bag. Magic marker or post-it notes don't do well on bags...
My nessco sealer is way less bulky than any of these and was the #1 pick for America's Test Kitchen. It double seals and it's super easy. Plus it can seal any bag you want, even cracker bags. It was about $100.

You missed the Nesco VS12. In my opinion, it beats all of the ones you reviewed.

Too lazy to get out the scissors or a kitchen knife!? What, it doesn't heat the food when I'm ready to eat it? Gimme a break!!
Cabela's commercial grade sealer double seals simultaneously.
