Well, I gave up on Doctor Who after series 12 episode 10, but I am going to give it another chance and watch the 60th Trilogy, the Christmas day episode, and at least the start of Ncuti's first series. I wasn't too pleased with the Davros saga, so I am not sure what to expect from RTD. But I will still give it a chance.
Can you confirm one spolier is Bernard cribbins in this episode? Don’t want to know anything else just the marketing of who and interviews and nothing is covered about Bernard cribbins
I'll repeat what I said: Ok. I've got to say it because living in a dream world only invites disappointment. I've loved DW since first being told by friends of Tom Baker in the early 1980's here in the states. BUT... Sorry, but a review at the BBC itself -the BBC itself!!!! - said the Christmas Special was just so-so at best, grandstanding the episodes extremist progressive "message" just like the garbage Chibnall was turning out and would fail to bring back the 80% of the fans that walked away. This stuff in the trailers is embarrasingly terrible. Yelling and shouting paper thin dialogue by bad actors and occasional corny whispers in a show once long ago revered for its thoughtful and intelligent writing. Out-of-touch low budget version of Hollywood's dying Marvel Universe. 80% of the fans left and will never come back. The show cannot sustain its production costs with an audience of less than 2 mil because someone has to pay the bills. Davies continuing in the tradition of Chibnall only moreso. They walked mostly because of The Timeless Children so what does Davies do? - He completely re-invents the shows most iconic villain Davros because PC and then tells the fans if they don't like it they can lump it because he's in charge again!!! Way to go to bring back the angry fans. Idiot. Now the children in need special with Tennant is a big slump compared to previous years ratings. The handwriting is on the wall. Close off your eyes and ears and tge fact if the ratings if you want but as predicted by many, Doctor Who is finished and not before time at this rate Sorry. It's true. In fact, it's obvious. The show will never survive past the upcoming supposed whiz-bag 9 whole episode season. The ratings are needed to pay for the expensive production and the fans who angrily walked away in disgust are never coming back. Maybe in a few years they can bring Moffitt back and do it right. I did a 60th anniversary tribute a couple of years ago to kill time during the covid shutdown. It was time totally wasted. This thing is obviously going to be a ratings disaster. As long as the remaining 20% of fans keep cheering this junk it won't change, the ratings will be poor, the money people will cut their losses, the show will be canceled and no one will have anything to cheer about. RIP Doctor Who. Please send the executives common sense instead of flowers.

@@arthemis1039 the fan base is the 80% of fan base who walked away from the show. As long as a small fraction of the fans cheer the producers on to make terrible content, the 80% of tge fans will stay away, the money people will cut their losses, the show will get canceled and then there will be nothing left fir even the 20% to cheer about. If anyone is outside of the fan base, it's the 20% who are not with the 80% majority.
I don 't blame Nerd Den or Tharries for being 'star struck' and overly enthusiastic, for one, they're still just kids, and if I were attending this show, I'd give it a great review too plus I cut my teeth on Russel's DW, I grew up in the wilderness years despite being born when Davison was The Doctor, I didn't start watching Classic Who until it was long cancelled. While I consider myself more a fan of the classic who than modern Nu Who, I've always praised Davies' Doctor Who, I feel he's the only one who knows how to make it work in the 21st century. In my estimation, ageing fans have always had a volatile reaction towards Doctor Who as they and the programme go on. Some fans simply, and sadly, grow up or lose themselves to cynicism, letting the changes to culture and the world embitter them, and they blame the programme for hurting them somehow when it reflects those changes in the world. Look, I used to think exactly like this, but not anymore. I'm too old to gatekeep, and Davies has always been this kind of writer, if you didn't like him the first time, you're not going to like him the second time. Let Nerd and people like Tharries enjoy themselves while they can because chances are they'll become just as annoyed with the programme when they're older as you are or how I was under Moffat and Chibnall.
Nerd Den will be Doctor Who showrunner for 75th anniversary!!!
Hope so. I believe in him.
It's so promising that Who fans all love it. Heard that the next two are darker, so I'm hyped to say the least ❤🔷

Maybe I'm wrong but it also sounds like it's got controversy and it's a bit of a let down .
It’s because of that news article review by someone who was very anti progressive and very boomerie.
