Are you even considering the fact that Tim might think that Nick committed a mistake? Like, I'm a straight guy but I have a cousin that is gay and he's gay since he was born. I remember him at 2 or 3 years old clearly having already gay habits and only wanting to play with dolls and women's stuff. We, as a society, can only treat being gay as a natural thing if children also know that being gay is as natural as being straight. If, in an elementary school pupils think being straight is normal and being gay is a tabu or not a normal thing, homophobia will always prevail. That's my issue with Nick's tweet and why I think he made a mistake. Also, the LGBTQ+ group were demonstrating their views in a peaceful way and the group against them started the physical aggression.

Tim and Nick had a conversation about this and for all we know Nick very well could have urged Tim to just keep quiet about the issue and not rock the boat.
