Thx for posting Will. You are the 101 Guru!
Will you're doing great. I have been a ham since mid 70s and built my HW101 when new. Your skills are inspiring and you know what you're doing and very happy to watch and learn from your videos. very professional. thanks 73s wb7qxu
Cool. I have an awesome highly modified HW-101 with a Digital VFO and all the cool mods from the '70s. I also have six (6) more to use for spares and to someday restore! I bough most of them and one was donated to me.
Yeah, the most pleasant part in restoration process is cleaning from the dust
Very cool! I have a DX 100 transmitter and SB 303 receiver. They both have not been powered up for 5 years. Will have to be careful when I get them on
At least the resistors are Allen-Bradley style, and NOT those awful "roundys"! I see so many people keep "BAD TUBES" ... WHY! Glad to see you toss them!
I still have one of those old Heathkit Frequency Counters from when I worked for Heathkit.

Do you use DeoxIT D5 on your Switches, and DeoxIT Fader F5 on your POTs.? It is important, and does make a difference over time.
How Could this Man Have that Delivered. With it floating inside another Box and think it would be safe, I think People are going Brain dead, In the Last 3 years, I'm Glad It made it through delivery safely, Thank God
That yellow gleam on the knobs is nicotine stain. Those old rigs are typically dripping with nicotine. They bespeak of an era of widespread nicotine addiction.
Will, the world will always need another HW-101 restoration video. Hmmm... I wonder if bending those tube pins might cause micro cracks to develop in the glass and eventually lead to a gassy tube.
Better spider webs than rat shit.
I had an SB102, which is really the same rig as the HW101, except that the VFO (LMO) is factory assembled, and it has a slightly different case and a few of the panel switches are rotary instead of slide switches. The two rigs share at least 90% of the circuitry and parts list. They use the same circuit boards. Is the SB102 worth the extra cost? I got mine before the HW100 was available, but I did like the way it looked, and the VFO dial was easier to tune.
What great paint you have,,
