That’s what I often ponder and I can’t make sense of the spectrum of things that exist. There are so many very intriguing and incredible things, from quantum physics to general relativity, neutron stars, black holes, pistol shrimps, humans, ants cultivating fungi, computers, thinking and emotions, and the list goes on and on. It’s soooo wonderful!

Here we are talking about beauty, complexity, life, story, truth... and the best answer this brilliant man can give is a contradiction to all of them. There is no language if there is no objective meaning. We are waisting words and ideas if the meaning of life is merely what we make of it. To say it is so is to deny beauty, complexity, life, story, truth, etc. Nauseating really.
“I did not say in the broadcast, ‘There is a God’, I said ‘I do not need to believe in God; I know’. I do neither commit the impertinence of a hypostasis, nor of an arrogant qualification such as: 'God can only be good'. Only my experience can be good or evil, but I know that the superior will is based upon a foundation which transcends human imagination. Since I know of my collision with a superior will in my own psychical system, I know of God, and if I should venture the illegitimate hypostasis of my image, I would say, of a God beyond good and evil, just as much dwelling in myself as everywhere else: Deus est circulus cuius centrum est ubique, cuis circumferentia vero nusquam.”

Are we lucky or are the ones that were never born luckier? It all depends on your perspective. We have the potential for joy, but also great suffering. It's debatable if the amount of happiness there is in life is actually outweighs the suffering, at least for a lot of people.

The first part of his answer is quite "small" IMHO. Of course, Lex put it back into the proper scale by mentioning the example of stardust ending up asking questions about the meaning of life.

Mathematically,, the meaning of life is 1 and 0 simultaneously. There, I gave you the actual answer, as you woud find in the answer-key section of your math texts! These people are just blinds groping in the dark, playing with matter, and going nowhere, creating more questions than answers. The answer was always known, but you have to do the work to get to the answer, experientially realize the answer. Thats where shit gets real.
