BackRoomLabs Dynasphere V.A.W.T. Prototype

This is my replication of the Dynasphere by EarthShips. This is my proof of concept model. Next will be a 6 or 8 foot sphere with a fully working axial flux alternator. Credit to this design shape go to Earthship Biotecture

I have a similar concept! Haven't even made a prototype though.

Yes if you watch the 3rd video I have it completed and made out of metal with a generator mounted to it. The prototype made with wood dowels would spin in 1/2 mph wind, of course no generator on that one. The one out of metal would spin in 1 mph wind with no generator. With the generator it took around 7 mph to start. That generator is a smartdrive motor out of a washing machine rewired. That generator was a little big for the size of the V.A.W.T. So I'm am almost finished with a 7 foot tall Savonius style V.A.W.T that will have no trouble spinning that generator. Soon I will be building a axial flux altenator for the Dynasphere. It will be a lot less resistive than the smartdrive.

Any update with actual resistance on the V.A.W.T. to see how much wind it actually requires to make it spin?
