- The wait is finally over and I am so excited to show off these brand new Apex VS5-RS wheels for my F82 M4! I ordered these back in early November as part of a group buy and to say they were well worth the wait is an understatement. The design, lightness, functionality, and aggressiveness of these wheels are simply top notch and I can't wait to share more as this build continues to progress. We have seen some Bilstein customers run an alternate spring configuration up front to reduce the stack height and move that lower spring collar upward and out of the way. This is one solution but it can be expensive and fiddly.

All I have to say is if I eventually get rims, these are definitely going to be it. Fricken stunning, the spoke is perfect. I’d be very curious to see in bushes clear or anthracite 🤤.

I just got Ohlins Road and Track coilovers for my M2 with 2.5” inner diameter Swift springs and curious about the fitment since you mentioned you needed spacers.

I rock a 15mm spacer in the front with Nangkang AR-1 295/30R18 front but 18x10.5 and 315/30R18 with a 18x11 and a 12mm space rear fits 💰💰
I have never seen someone go this hard on a square setup

Wow!! Can’t believe those fit up front. Any concerns about the fronts wearing unevenly? In other words, Wearing quicker on the inside of the tires?
ive come to expect that ill get increased wear given how much camber im running up front, but thats what i wanted. And theres a functional reason behind it, so im totally fine with that. plus the car isnt my daily anymore !
Love the Apex wheels and there new forged series is super light. Do you know if 18x10.5 would fit in the front with stock suspension?
i think it would! especially since the 18x10.5 runs the same offset as these
Depends on the tire... But yeah 18x10.5et22 would fit with most 35 tires as long as you stay under 285
You can install SPL Front Lower Control Arms and SPL Front Adjustable Caster Monoball to shorten the width of the front track. The M4 GT4 car also does this to fit their wheels.

I wanna run the same spec on my f80 but without the troubles of tryna fit my wheels in the front. I was thinking of running 275/35/18's. I just dont really know what offset to go with, you know? I want to achieve the same concavity or look from the combination you were running in this vid, basically.
They look good but so many people have black rims, but then again white and black is one of the best combinations. I wish it was better to see the rim design in a dark color. I still love the Competition Wheels on my F82.

Love these new wheels! Didn’t know federal was making 295’s in the RSRR. It’s gonna look even better once you put a different tire brand on there like some Nangkangs or Yokohamas.
I seriously cant wait til i get some real r-comps on there for sure. but yea these will do for now, i didnt know federal made them in a 295 as well but they do, not a bad solution if youre in a pinch for time or on a strict budget
@@SimplyCarThings yeah they tend to get greasy pretty quickly on track in the summer. I’d get out there ASAP for the colder session with them. I’ll be at Buttonwillow March 25th with Turn 8 Trackdays if you’re down.

@@TimChump I have 20s Competition wheels and spacers too, they do make a big enough difference for clearance, but not enough to take on most bumps straight on.

these are really not similar to the CS wheels at all. from size to concavity, to weight, etc theyre completely different

Dope. How’s your traction on 295s when TC is off? Better running the tires squared? I’ve done a comprehensive mod list. Go for it.
traction is good so far! Running bm3 stage 1 and it feels good overall. the squared setup is mainly for track where i can rotate the tires to maintain even wear, also helps to combat understeer and increase front end grip according to my understanding
