He is the greatest artist who contributed more than anybody else in any area. For example, ours is a male dominated industry. 50's and 60's were particularly for songs and 99% of the stars were only stars, no acting at all. These males who could not act, who cannot convert fun into acting, has no choice but to depend on singing. There was nobody except Rafi they can go to salvage their movie and career. Rafi's contribution is second to none. Without him, the industry would have collapsed.
Once Rafi ji said that he maybe a Muslim but his voice has no religion. His reply was to those who ask him why he sings Bhajan being a Muslim. What a great soul Rafi was. God bless him.
