I feel like I havent explained enough on the Nightly Sleeper so here's more info: - How the hell are you going to make it long? You can't just put all neighbouring stations together and call it a night sleeper. The route has to be more direct than that and the stations have to be reasonably far away from each other if you want to be proper. - No one is going to drive for hours in a Roblox train game and if they do, they'll lack enjoyment pretty quickly. - In real life, nightly sleepers go across the country and multiple counties. We're talking about Stepford COUNTY Railway. - Not everyone will be able to ride the service, since these services can operate in late times (UTC). People that do live in that time zone should have to ruin their sleep to drive the route. It's obvious why they shouldn't add this.
I am going to hate SCR if they add Nightly Sleeper. This is because it runs a journey for hours, and I do not believe a normal player will actually stay in SCR for hours just to get 200 points. Also, since this game is based on the UK time zone, it means not everyone is playing it at night. Running "Sleeper" services during midday just hurts my eyes.
Late to the party but I personally consider the Willowfield to Llyn route a sleeper service despite the fact there are no sleeper trains because it takes so long, you have to remember an in game day is much shorter than a real life one so a sleeper in the game would not go for hours
@tornadochaserguy5756 That is true, but the game runs on uk time zone meaning that the day and night cycle (including times of the day) is a 24 hour cycle. This means that sleeper services can run in day time and it would come up as the middle of the day
Not all metros are underground too, the Tyne and Wear Metro in NE England is underground for some parts, then overground for some parts. It's also a county service, going from Newcastle City Centre to South Shields on one line, and Newcastle Airport to Sunderland on another line
i would like to add something for nightly sleeper. A lot of people play in the US and the most popular time they play would be around 2300-600 by greenwich meaning that people in the US, especially me who lives in hawaii are specifically limited to this rail. Therefore making the game less replaable
I feel like they should add Tramlink to the game, but as like an AI driven type thing. Like, how they have it in other AI controlled train games, and like the Vancouver SkyTrain irl in Canada, I feel like something like that should be added to the game, or just turn Tramlink into an SCR version of the Vancouver SkyTrain.
Maybe they should add an AI driven metro service which goes on the loop that the metro was originally supposed to serve while being completely underground
What i think they should add: Freight trains (i'm gonna get hated for this) NPC riding your train (because you alone driving your train there is literally 0.001% chance someone enters your train)
yeah i would love npc passengers it would make the game WAY more fun. Most bus games have npc passengers that u can give tickets, but i just want passengers entering and exiting, that would look sick
The nightly sleeper could potentially happen, but they would not make it over an hour. The reason why I say this is because of two main reasons: 1: Almost nobody would want to drive a route that’s like 8 hours long, and most people don’t even have enough time for that. And even if they did, this brings me to the second reason, lag. 2: Even if somebody would want to just do one continuous route for multiple hours on end, then they would risk having their game time out from processing all the terrain and other things as they do the route. Not to mention they would have to expand the map so much to make it possible for a route that long. And there’s some more small reasons as to why it wouldn’t be good, but these are the main ones I’ve gathered.
0:45 you should explore the legacy edition of SCR, there are the answers to people saying that tramlink was going to SV, but ill explain it rn: since the start of SCR, there have been signs of tramlink network around the game, and from what ive explored, the network was supposed to go from Whitney Green to Stepford Victoria via Whitefield Lido, with a branch going to Benton (or eventually a loop, but i doubt that), and the devs of the legacy edition actually made a line of grass with some red squares representing more or less where the tracks would be, with tramlink stations from Whitney Green to West Berrily, at Benton, at Whitefield Lido, at Arnold Square and at Stepford Victoria, now just connect the hints you have and you can make Tramlinks Network Map using what you believe
I actually found a game with the original legacy, the only thing changed from the real one is the banner, and can confirm it actually was added and did not exist originally
2:24 As long as Express doesn't go to the Airport, Airlink isn't anywhere near ruining the Point of Express, because Express only goes to Stepford and Newry
Yeah because express provides a really fast service from sc to llyn plus the game doesn’t need to make a route from llyn to sc using airlink because that’s pointless a route i would do is llyn to t3 stopping at northshore, leighton city leoghton stepford road terminal 1 and then terminal 3 that would be amazing
Nightly sleeper is express to Victoria and Whitefield. Just Get a Train from Whitefield or Victoria, get off at Stepford Central and get an express train to wherever you want
Nightly sleeper could be added so you drive it for part of its journey and it could be it is taken by “another driver” for the rest of its journey meaning there would be a link to the rest of the country
I do think they should add Buses. Not only because SCR started by an Stepford bus game, if they added it you can get to other stations quicker and in an more free way.
Tramlink and Metro is NOT a good eachother Tramlink: its to long and the game is called Stepford County Railway not Transport For Stepford Metro: bruv most stations are against CN look at US its so close to the CN station
For the metro part: In my hometown I have a metro system which acts more like a suburban system, I also have a separate suburban railway system. I know thats not the case, but I think the metro definition should be changed. It is supposed to move loads of underground in a dense area, not just the city
I think reduced service between midnight and 5 am would be realistic. Less players are on. The 24 hour service would be on the main line. Stepford Victoria to Leighton city for local service, Stepford Connect local service between Stepford Central to Lynn, Stepford Express ( making all Express stops) from Stepford Central to Lynn, Airlink from Stepford Central to all 3 terminals and the parking lot and Airport Central it can also stop at Elsmere Junction and Morganstown. This would cover all the basic and most important routes 24 hours a day.
@hanstheexplorer Waterline obviously carries less passengers. And yes I know there are few passengers all around. But the fact that those are mostly shorter trains screams that those are not central lines. They run on the outskirts of the central area except for Benton. No you are not a joke probably just a kid who wants to be smarter than everyone lol. I'm a grown man and retired NYC MTA worker. We do similar types of overnight service here. People in outlining area drive usually. And keep in mind the London underground does not run at all between midnight and 5am. I know I've been to the UK . I rode the Piccadilly line and others. I worked in the A division ( numbered trains) in New York
Why airlink to lynn wouldn’t ruin the point of express: Express and airlink have 2 different purposes. Stepford express is the faster way to get from say, Stepford central- Benton or something. Airlink does routes directly to the airport. If Lynn to the airport opens, it wouldn’t ruin the point of express because passengers would still have to change at the airport which is unnecessary. Plus, Bassically saying that means that airlink to LSR is stupid, so why not open to Lynn.
Freight locomotive can be added. (It will be connected on a passenger car.) It should not be forgotten that it is a class 68 locomotive. (Some companies use class 68 as freight locomotives.)
maybe the nightly sleeper could be added under 2 things 1.like the name suggest, its a train for the night, meaning your only alowed to drive train from the operator between, lets say between 23:00 (11pm) till 5:00 (5 am) 2.even tho sleeper services take realy long in real life, maybe add a few stations and make sleeper services only stop at metropolitain or major/big stations maybe it will be added but for now we wont know, maybe it actully was a prank?probaly bc there is an anouncment for it,but for now,we will never know
this might seem a stupid idea but airlink divert via benton and no longer go via morganstown and connect’s routes to airport central/terminal 2 instead go via morganstown
Nightly Sleeper could operate Morganstown / Esterfield - Llyn-by-the-sea, just saying 🤔 But also: Nightly Sleeper can be not huge, multi-county routes, just late night, generally long ones.
There are train companies that operate bus services (Arriva, Abellio, MÁV-Volán), so maybe introduce buses. Also, I think Tramlink shouldn't be an urban-style tram system, but a tram-train, like Croydon, Sheffield and Szeged. And instead of Metro there should be, like, an underground branch for Connect or Waterline.
Waterline already has an underground portion on the esterfield branch and Connect already replaced most of the supposed Metro network (including a portion of the Stepford loop which is now the Stepford Victoria branch)
nothing is more stupid than the 3 things I came up with: Stepford Heritage (Steam trains in SCR) Stepford Shunting (You shunt trains, maybe more than just the Class 08) SC Service Willowfield Connolly
0:56 i quiet agree with that since tram service is around the area not 1 to other edit: 1:34 metro map is streching to the most area and connect (back then) is a short line from stepford town to port benton or airport central ( i guess) and if metro opened connect would have no purpose of existing and being replaced by metro
What if the nightly sleeper goes only 1 mile per hour then it would be about 8 hours and dont worry it can have it own track and call at every station!
Ive played scr for 4 years now and i think they should change the points system with the routes so if you stop at a station that would have alot of passengers like SC you get 1 point per passenger getting on your train and with the in game disruption they should have random event where NPC passengers what to go to a curtain station like if theres a football match at stepford UFC more passengers would get on that line giving the driver more point apon completion of that stop this would also have to be released with NPC passengers otherwise it would look odd but it could be releasee separately what do you guys think?
Since this is not in real life, I think that 44 minutes for a sleeper service would be adequate for the players. As for the hours they run, however, well - that's a bit complicated.
I have a solution for Metro which will run from Stepford Victoria to Whitefield without going on Connect. First, It will Start at Stepford Victoria, then go north into tunnels stopping at, Stepford South, Stepford Central/Central Mall, Stepford City North, Woodhead Lane West, Then Joining up with connect on an Overground Section to Whitefield. That is my Proposal for Stepford Metro in SCR. 😍😍👍
I dont wanna sound like a nerd or a hater, but, time passes differently in games so maybe when its 44 minutes for us its 4 days ingame so that would make nightly sleeper a bit useful
If you think a "metro" that's above ground is dishonest, go and look over at Australia and New Zealand where literally everything is called a metro- Adelaide Metro (adelaide), PTV Metro (melbourne), Brisbane Metro (brisbane), AT Metro (auckland), Tranz Metro (wellington). None of these services remotely resemble a real metro- they're suburban and regional rail systems, or in the case of Brisbane, a bus.
I honestly agree with buses being a trash idea just by using another train game in Roblox as context of how this would fail The game I am talking about is GCR (grand continental railways) it has buses BUT GUESS WHAT NOBODY USES THEM wich shows that if buses would be added to SCR they will probably be not used at all and its even worse because due to GCR being free drive its not that bad BUT SCR IS NOT FREE DRIVE AND IS CAREER wich means you would probably have to spend in game money on the buses
I actually think that the nightly sleeper should actually have a new station, which will be on the edge of the map, and after that go on the corner of the map to the East of the map, so it is west of the map to east of the map (all of the directions that I said you must be at the corner)
If we added AirLink to Llyn or maybe Westwyvern or further than Leighton City, what would we need Express for? If we extended beyond Leighton City, no more express then. If we extended to Leighton West, it would be very useless and a second platform would be needed so yeah no. If we extend just one stop, it would be nice but unrealistic. All the reasons not to extend it.
The term metro comes from the Metropolitan railway and is that fully underground? The asnwer is it isn't so therefore having to be fully underground doesn't work as the definition of metro isn't fully underground.
My suggestion: Add NPC passengers to actually see how it loads the train, and can be turned off in the settings page if you are on a low-end device like mobile.
i dont think they will add the nightly sleeper because nightly sleeper lasts for hours it would need a long route the longest route in the game is willowfiled to lyn by the sea unlese they add another route but even longer with stopping at a lot and a lot of stations even more than willowfiled to lyn
If they added a station really far away from Lynn like it goes really really far away to like a new station called ageop they might really add nightly sleeper like why would they are the sound for it and if they did add it it would be running from Stepford Central to the station I said and people would need to stay up all night even into lunchtime if they wanted to do that journey
Well, metro isn't needed to be underground and on a city, look Madrid, it has one of the world's most extensive metro networks and it goes to another cities inside the county, even has the line 12 that it's a whole loop line out of the capital city but inside in the county, so metro isn't was that bad
I feel like I havent explained enough on the Nightly Sleeper so here's more info:

One of the developers said no since NPC's are models and they cannot he toggled on/off
i dont think they will add the nightly sleeper because nightly sleeper lasts for hours it would need a long route the longest route in the game is willowfiled to lyn by the sea unlese they add another route but even longer with stopping at a lot and a lot of stations even more than willowfiled to lyn
Tbh a bus or tram would make for a decent side game.
If there weren't a billion British-based bus and tram games already.
Tram link should really be an automatic shuttle with stops at greenslade Robinson way and Whitney green
West Midlands Metro: exists
Everybody: no u dont
0:48 gold coast trams: am i a joke to you?
Maybe Charlie Should Add Dynamic Weather Like Thunderstorms And Rain
If they added a station really far away from Lynn like it goes really really far away to like a new station called ageop they might really add nightly sleeper like why would they are the sound for it and if they did add it it would be running from Stepford Central to the station I said and people would need to stay up all night even into lunchtime if they wanted to do that journey
They Only Way They Want Airlink To Go To Lynn Because It Is Like The Gatwick Express From Gatwick - Brighton
I think we should get a connect from stepford Victoria to lbts via new station
2:33 when my local line suddenly gets mentioned
Do you think they will can add trams ?
If buses are to ever be a thing, then tramlink would also be added as trams go on roads and without the other, there is no point for it.
1:41 i hope they will add the stepford loop in version 2.x
No they wont however theres a new extension coming
I Agree with you Pengtastic
They should make a train line called Stepford Tours
there 3 tramlink stations, Greenslade, some station in the middle and whitney green
But metro in my city is on a bridge and is always on a bridge ? I thought they were called “the underground” or “subway” !?
if airlink goes to llyn for some reason it should stop at every station express doesnt stop at
SCR did have buses on the first day but were removed cause they were buggy and were free models
1:41, no, Pengtastic, ur wrong. Tokyo Metro goes all the way to Yokoyama
1:52 lets have Airlink to Leighton City
1:42 airport terminal 1 is also underground
I agree with you pengtastic!
Tram link was cancelled due to the fact that they would have had to add cars and pedestrians to the game as well as more buildings
1:30 The Tyne and Wear metro right now: not existing
Keep coxly newton like the abandon station in beyond okie Hampton
WHAT!! I THINK IT SHOULD COME BLEH BLEH BLEH BLEH
Maybe at least add bus stops close to the stations, controlled by AI, just in the scenery Why not?
Lag
Stealing AN purpose of a train service IS a serious form of grand larceny.
Well, metro isn't needed to be underground and on a city, look Madrid, it has one of the world's most extensive metro networks and it goes to another cities inside the county, even has the line 12 that it's a whole loop line out of the capital city but inside in the county, so metro isn't was that bad
Honestly, airline should definitely go to Llyn
