"How to grow Dragon Fruit (Pitahaya) in pots". Friends, I've introduced many fruit plants to you that you can grow in pots. In this series, today I'm going to tell you about an exotic and delicious fruit plant known as Dragon Fruit. This fruit plant belonging to cactus family is a native to central America and now it is cultivated commercially in tropical and subtropical countries with great success. In Asian countries, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, etc. are the main cultivators. Gradually it's becoming popular in India also. This fruit plant can be grown easily in pots or containers. I live at high altitude, can I grow dragonfruit here? It's not hot here but it doesn't freeze either.
Dragon fruit is a tropical plant. It needs humidity and moderate warmth to grow properly. At higher altitude you can still grow it but in a polyhouse in a controlled environment.

Yes, you can grow through seeds. It may take more than 2 yrs to get a matured plant.

Very detailed & informative video 👌, dear Brahamdev my all pots ph is 5.5/5.0 and very few plats (lemon & hibiscus)are growing slowly others are not, is there any way I can fix it?.🤔
If you want to increase the ph, add one or two spoonful of wood ash to the soil of each pot as per the size. You can use calcium hydroxide i.e., chuna or lime also as a substitute, but in smaller quantities than wood ash.

Sir, I am growing one dragon plant on my terrace in tub. It is more than 9 months . It has grown up to 6 feet height with single stem without any branches or any flowering. Kindly advise what organic fertilizer to be applied. Can I trim the plant to check the height and for getting branches and opening. Your videos on gardening are very educating.
