Fun Fact: The Tiger tank in this movie is an actual Tiger tank- Not a T-34 dressed up to look like a Tiger. It's the only drivable one left in the world, and it was loaned by the Bovington Tank Museum for use in this movie.
*It's the only drivable Tiger 1 left. In France is actually a Tiger II that can still move under it's own power. As far as I know can it also still rotate it's turret and has the original Engine

There's one getting restored in Australia to become driveable again. Not sure how long it is going to take, but there are youtube videos showing the restoration of getting it put back together again, but not driveable yet.

A real life tiger tank would’ve tanken this tanks out one by one, fury is a propaganda type movie, it’s not meant to show reality, it’s meant to show that USA is better than everyone (which is wrong)
@@fegig Exactly. The German tank doctrine was: Take out the first tank in the convoy and then the last so they are trapped. Or if the commander spots tanks with a long barrel are they a priority target. Meaning no matter what, Fury would have ended there. And seriously? Some logs bouncing an 88 off? Also BS. And Fury would have most likely died after the first scene with the PAK which was more than capable at dealing with Easy Eights...

The German soldier discovering Norm under the tank shows his humanity towards a vulnerable person in the midst of hell. We must remember there were soldiers on all sides that did not want to be involved in the war :( Great reaction video, thank you both. :)

Hannah says she isn't good at these kind of movie reactions, but I disagree! She just is in touch with the deeper themes in these movies. "If I just keep my head down, I won't die" is definitely a thought that every soldier has during their first combat situation. Then you realize that you can't see the enemy, you don't know if they're trying to flank you, and there is no waiting it out. The battle does not end until you kill him or he kills you. Fear turns to rage that someone is trying to kill you and you stop worrying about death. By the end of our first deployment, we weren't even hiding from mortars anymore. We were running around trying to "catch them."

I honestly love his characters screen time the most besides bible, it says alot about this movie that honestly Don is 4th out of my favorites
I like his acting and all a lot, he was GREAT in The Bear! However, his roles are often quite uncomfortable, annoying, asshole, kind of stuff - and I actually think he's a little like that in real life... Watched some interviews with him and all, and he says a lot of bs as well, these "crazy stories" you just know aren't true.

The reason the bullets looked like lasers is because while we do have tracer rounds which are loaded every few rounds to see where your shots are landing they decided to paint most of the rounds as tracer rounds just so the audience have an easy time tracking what’s going on. Loved your reaction you guys, this movie is easily the best war film in terms of showing just how gritty and unpatriotic war really is. From the sound effect, practical effects, writing, acting, this film fires on all cylinders and is a true masterpiece.
yep , thanks Ryan for pointing that out with the tracers, so in reality a machine gun firing would not look like that, in fact you cant really see the bullets
@@darthsaren6519 That’s exactly right. Just a couple tracers per magazine really to know if you are on target. Every so often you may see a quick flash of one but they wouldn’t be real bright.
@@darthsaren6519 you can't see the bullets, but you can see the tracers, with low light conditions. we would load every 3rd round in a 30 round magazine witn a tracrer when i was in. it helps to direct the fire from a fire team, squad, larger elements.
@@ryanadams2671 I used to load my second round of my rifle with a tracer (so second last shot from the magazine). As soon as it flashed then I knew I had one shot left (or Id just used it). Stops you getting confused about whether youve got a stoppage or an empty magazine. I was also a trained machine gunner in the army. Tracers can start fires really easily. We used to bounce our rounds over the back of the butts on range days to deliberately start fires with the tracers. That way the fire brigade would have to turn up and we could usually have a half hour sleep on the range while we waited for them to put it out. Then we'd do it again ha ha - being young and stupid was great! Sometimes theyd make us do 10km runs in patrol order in revenge but we didnt care.
My father said when he was in Vietnam they loaded every 5th round as a tracer on belt fed weapons. Not only do they help you stay on target by letting you see where you’re rounds are going, but they also will let you know if you’ve over heated the barrel of the rifle. When it over heats the bullets don’t fly straight, they make like a corkscrew streak threw the air.
As a member of a Tank crew for 9 years, you are closer to them than your own brothers. those men become part of you, everyone I know that were Tank crewmen agree "best Job I ever had"

That line really hit me.
For Hannah: the bullets you saw and compared to Star Wars - those are called tracer rounds. It allowed you to see how far off target you were so you could correct and get a direct hit. It’s accurate, and it was the inspiration for such lasers in sci-if movies…movies like Star Wars.
Only every fifth round in machine gun belts, referred to as four-to-one tracer. There are 4 more bullets that you can see in between the tracers you see.
Indeed, the inspiration goes deeper.
X-wings utilised red bolts, the tracer colour of most nato countries during the cold war. The ties used green which was used by Russia and Russian supplied equipment during the cold war.
Obviously most blasters in the OT use red bolts, but I believe the use of red and green specifically (as opposed to any combo of colours) was intentional for the space battles to draw parallels with nato/rebels fighting for freedom and warsaw/empire fighting for control.
"We were Soldiers" and "Black Hawk Down" are two great war movies!!
Id also add Hacksaw Ridge and Enemy at the gates to your list, both of those movies were based on actual war hereos which definitely makes the stories more impressive.

This was the first war movie for me where even though the ending is triumphant, you do not feel that way at the end, just like the soldiers after they've won the war. You feel a sense of overall loss and doom. Loss of life, loss of humanity, loss of faith in man. And to know it happends and keeps happening.....great movie.
Hannah, Ash, watch Hacksaw Ridge after this. It's Incredible True Story.

Also side note, in a battleground it is very rare to see wildlife during fighting times as they will normally steer WELL away from the battle site. Most animals are gone before the battle even begins.

Yeah, just a human walking through the woods quietly will scare most wildlife away. If they are making noise it will chase away even big predators (wildcats, bears, etc). Tanks and machine guns? Yeah, every living creature is running like hell outta there.

7:35. That was me at my sister's funeral when I walked into the bathroom. I had to be the rock for my mom, and I always directed people giving sympathy towards her, and accepted none.
Those small breaks away from people, when I could fully just lose it, got me through a very tough time. You have to release it.
Ash, I legitimately watch your reaction videos nonstop and seriously appreciate having Hannah's reactions available as well. If you are a fan of this War movie, it means you definitely haven't seen "Tae Guk Gi: The Brotherhood of War" yet. Watch that movie. Trust me. If you think Fury is the best, then you'll definitely rethink that after watching Tae Guk Gi on the Korean War. The BEST hands down.

You guys are amazing together with reactions. Competent in detecting themes and techniques of cinematography, funny quirks, and still have the wits about you to take in the emotional parts of a film. I've watched a lot of reaction videos, and you guys make the duo thing work better than any other channel. Most times it takes the suspense out of it or people think they need to talk to each other the entire time. Keep killing it you guys! You guys should totally add Logan, and The Count of Monte Cristo to the list

I’d also recommend 1917. Most Great War films are based on the American perspective. But 1917 is the British. Might be something you guys would want to see. Also Dunkirk which is also British. But great film FO SHO!
1917 is insane also. The sceeeenes in that. Hannah will get destroyed though 🤣
@@abrimfulofasha I agree to an extent. But given I believe Ash and Hannah are British they may enjoy seeing a movie from that perspective. Hacksaw Ridge is Fantastic. Anything Mel Gibson directs pretty much is great.

I think Legends of the Fall had a tiny bit of WWI in it if you wanna see more of Brad Pitt.
Dunkirk is one of the best war films ever made, top 5 for sure.

@6:02 - When he says: "Choke 'er up, she's cold," he is referring to the choke valve on a carbureted (rather than injected) internal combustion engine. It regulates the air pressure in the intake manifold, thereby altering the air/fuel mixture. Very few carbureted engines still around, so it isn't surprising that you hadn't ever heard of a choke. I grew up in the 80s and my first rig was an '84 FJ60 Land Cruiser. Definitely had a choke pull next to the steering column that you would need to pull out to start the engine when it was cold (I lived in Montana, where it gets very cold). As the engine warmed up, you would gradually push the "pull" back in.

Yes, that's exactly what they look like when they shoot, they're called tracer rounds so you can stay on target easier, not every round has a tracer but every 3 or 4 rounds (Or So) have a tracer round.

The house with the women scene is the best in the movie. Brad Pitt sees it as a brief moment of normalcy and tries to get as much out of it as he can, where as his men find it disgusting because they've been put through the ringer by him. He made them the war beaten dogs they are, as he was supposed to so they'd survive, and now they're pissed he can just turn it off.
And on top of that, he's treating Norman, the new guy, to that normalcy
They were also more than a bit rapey in that dinner scene
Also they took shots at Brad by talking about the dead horses and how they were killing them KNOWING Brad's character loved horse which caused him to pop at the table scene.
Brad Pitt: "Choke her up, she is cold" means to "give it gas while engine not running" which in turn means push the small black button on the bottom right corner of the temp and pressure motoring console which is to the left of the tank driver. There are 2 buttons: the STARTERS (those tanks ran 2 engines) you push the left most a couple of times then the right one and its supposed to turn both engines on I think: got to drive one at a NAF Blue Angels show after the show when everything was being packed up. things drive very similar to a skid steer or dozer

This is one of my favorite War movies of all time along side Behind Enemy Lines & Saving Private Ryan
This movie is great with detailed film making:
1) director wanted to show that the sniper who took out war daddy was also a very experience soldier hence him removing his face cover and cam zooming in to show wrinkles and scars on his face
2) similarly, the German soldier who lets Norman go at the end is a young soldier like Norman and good job with the camera showing us how young he is

Ash & Hannah, your reaction videos are simply the best, really, with so much more than just the ordinary viewing commentary, (that in other YT Reactors is often so irritating in how they talk too much, talk over really important dialog or just make stupid comments) you always give such excellent comments, from your combined points of view, that sometimes are matched or other times be in stark contrast, but whether it's from you or Hannah or from both of you simultaneously, so many are either profoundly insightful or humorous beyond expectation. Seriously, you both add so much more to your productions as compared to what are all too often just run of the mill YT reaction videos not worthy of viewers time or attention.
I've recommended you guys to others, something I haven't done before, and I do it with enthusiasm "YOU gotta check out this guy named Ash on YT!" lol.

15:00 a lot of heavy machine guns use a "tracer round" every 5 or so bullets that is more visible to see, so you can see better where your shots are landing since its probably quite difficult to look down the sights firing a heavy weapon like that

I saw an animated short film made by a college student (film major) where he animated a story narrated by his grandfather about his time in World War 2.
He came across a German soldier who looked like a teenager while they were marching quietly across the terrain. They were only a few meters away from each other and both immediately panicked. They yelled at each other in their own language (English/German) and neither understood the other, but he was telling the kid to surrender, and we can probably assume the German boy was probably yelling the same thing. But each reached for their weapon and felt the need to defend themselves and he happened to be faster on the draw and he killed him.
He said he slept fine that same night, but the next night and every night after he had trouble sleeping and would have dreams about this kid. He said he looked like an angel and that he still sometimes would have dreams about this boy to this day.
If I recall correctly, it was the only life he ever took and it was either kill or be killed, but it changed him forever and he thought about it for the rest of his life, for decades upon decades of time.
I like how the director decided to make the screen really greyish looking through the movie to give it a feel of sadness and no hope’
that part for me really made it feel quite real.
The red and green lights were tracer rounds, mainly used on machineguns as a visual indicator to show where your bullets are going without having to rely on iron sights.
This movie is just beyond words, I love the acting, the writing, setting and music. Fury is an amazing movie and I suggest it to reactors, and I cannot express how excited I was to see you both reacting to it. I cried at the ending again.
Another war movie I don't see suggested very much is a Korean film, My Way.

my way is the best war movie ever
Well IMO is "Das Boot" the best war movie for a couple of reasons:
1. It shows the german perspective of the war and most importantly shows that not all germans were nazis or cruel monsters like the world thinks we were.
2. It's quite entertaining. Most of the time it's calm but when it gets tense it is tense
3. It's really realistic. At least more than Fury or saving Private Ryan or other Hollywood movies.
4. Naval Battles always fascinated me
I've been waiting for this reaction for so long now! Does anyone here want to hear something that might make you even more sad after that ending? Here it goes:
So if anyone remembers at one point in the movie it was mentioned that that entire tank crew was together for the entirety of the war. Now go back to the beginning of the movie, when the crawl text comes on screen and it says the date is "April 1945" that's 4 months before the war ended. So that means that that original crew who had been together the entire war was only 4 months away from going home and yet they met their ends and Logan Lerman's character who just got there for the first time got to go home after a valiant act of heroism that those guys probably had done many times before. Crazy to think man...
To this day I have been saying this for years but I believe Fury is the most under rated War Film of all time! This movie does not get talked about enough. If there was an Oscar for best ensemble cast in a film not only would Fury have been nominated but it would've won it. This cast is amazing, I love these characters even with their flaws as human beings. I also think maybe an acting Oscar should've been given to one of those five I mean the acting here is top notch. The action is violent and brutal all over and that's another thing I love about them movie it does not give a F about anything it goes for it. I think this movie is one of those war movies that really truly shows what the war was like especially towards the end of it when people were getting desperate on both sides of the conflict and it shows the trauma and PTSD amazingly. This movie is also one of the more rewatchable movies I've ever seen I love watching it even if that does sound weird since it is a war movie.

I watched this one over and over since it came out. It doesn't sound weird, it's definitely a rewatchable movie. I don't cry easily but this one and a few others get me teary eyed every time I see them. I recommend you to watch "Taking Chance" with Kevin Bacon which isn't an actual war movie but a war-related one. It's one of the other ones which get me almost crying every time I see it again.

These actors are all great and like you said their bond is amazing, if I remember correctly the actors talked about how they actually went to bootcamp with each other in preparation for this role so the chemistry you see between them is real for the most part.

I gotta be honest with you, I watched 3 reactions to action movies, and I thought you you were way over the top. But then I saw you react to something more dramatic. And you were just as honest about how it made you feel. I'm now subbed.
Whilst Hannah is right for the most part about the other side in a war being just as likely to have been forced into it as yourself, and just as scared, and desperate for home, the SS were a different breed. They were Hitler's triggermen, they carried out the executions, ran the death camps, and every other heinous shit you can imagine. The SS were the true believers, for whom no act was immoral. It's hard to summarize just how far this group went in the pursuit of true evil. There are few groups, identifiable as a single mass that act in concert, that are as widely and prolifically responsible for truly reprehensible deeds.
As such, yeah. The SS can go to hell.
This. Things were so insane that even in the german military, members of the Wehrmacht would get into fights with SS members (a german tank Ace famously kidnapped a SS unit that was trying to kill POW's and chained them to train tracks). So yeah, even guys on their side disliked them.
While the SS were responsible for most the war crimes, the waffen-SS actually did have conscripts, even non-germans (especially later in the war when far less people wanted to be associated with the SS). It's a common misconception that all SS were passionate volunteers. The wehrmacht had their share of war criminals, and likewise the waffen-SS had their share of soldiers forced into it.
They were also incredibly high on Methanphetamene chewing gum for the first few years of the war, and were starting to run out by the time America stormed Normandy, so you were dealing with a bunch of angry meth-heads in withdrawal.
Wrong. The Waffen SS itself (which is a fighting branch of the SS), as in the soldiers of SS that you could encounter in battle, did not operate any camps (that was under different branch of SS, Totenkopfverbände, still SS but you most likely wouldn't encounter them in any battle). And while it often had people who joined for ideological reasons, it also had some conscripts and many foreign volunteers (danes, swedes, french, latvians, bosnians, you name it) who joined often because they just viewed bolshevism as a threat. Also some people from Wehrmacht transferred to SS simply because it might've been a progression in their military career. Ok i've been binging your videos the last weeks and just fucking love em. Ash energy is above 9'000! Look at that scene !!! BOLOGNAISE ! Your sister is a gem but doesn't seem to really enjoy the movies that much, while Hannah is such an emotional and empathic woman, you can tell she doesn't know or is really eager to watch it, but then gets taken away and immersed, beautiful. Also makes such an effort to look good for the video, and she does !
But what's really catching my interest is how you two react with eachother. Ash being the chad he is, saying something provocative, and then the edit and zoom on her face and eyes "did he really just say that ? do i love or hate him ?" Absolutely genius. The bullets look like that because every 5th round they would have what you called a tracer round which has a coating so when it's fired it creates a trail so they can see where the rest of the bullets are landing :)

So for Hannah asking if it really looks like that when they fire. It does and it doesn't, the glowing bullets are what is called a Tracer round. This type of bullet has a compound at the base of it that burns brightly once fired, there are several colors. The green tracer is made by using baruim salts in the compound. The reason for a tracer round is to create a visual aid for allies to coordinate and/or focus fire on a point or target, especially in low light conditions. So in the town scene where Brad Pitt says follow my burst, he means look where my tracer is hitting and fire on that position. You will generally have magazines with one of these loaded every 4-5th round-ish, you dont want all your mags to have tracers in them because the line of sight works both ways. The opponent can see exactly where you are firing from as well

I was on tanks for a decade. I never saw combat (I was right between the two Gulf wars) but this film really nailed the crew interaction. And the tactics seemed reasonable as well.
Also, yes, all this laser looking bullets: every fifth round on a machine gun belt is a "tracer round" that is lit. It helps you refine your aim. And also, the ricochet is very accurate.
I label this film as rather accurate portrayal.
Eh, most of the tactics were alright. I think the biggest gripe that a lot of armchair tank commanders and history buffs have is with the Tiger vs 4 Sherman battle. The Tiger tank did a few things that were really, really dumb, like taking out the rear tank first instead of the lead tank (although I'll let that pass, because if they kill Brad Pitt, there'd be no movie). Also charging towards the Shermans instead of keeping their distance, taking advantage of the effective range of their main gun, didn't seem like a wise move.
You really think that ending battle was realistic or accurate?
Hanna makes me cry when she cries lmao....I relate to her empathy. That ending got me. Legit you guys are my favorite pair to watch. Keep it coming!!

Both the "Fury" tank and the Tiger I (the one tank they can barely kill) are in the collection of The Tank Museum, Bovington, UK. So, yes, you can visit them and it's well worth visiting, even if you are just has a mild interest in history. (Sorry, I can't promise a Brad Pitt appearance, though.) Many other vehicles used in this film are in private collections. For example, the entire German convoy at the beginning of the movie belongs to Bruce Crompton.
Actually, tanks are rather cramped inside. The prop guys had to make a 110% sized "tank" to be able too shoot most of the inside actions.
I'm not a subscriber, but if I may recommend a movie, then I shall recommend the sports drama 'Ford v Ferrari'. The loader in Fury was portrayed by Jon Bernthal and he also plays Lee Iacocca in Ford v Ferrari.

"Choke her she's cold." Literally means, the engine is cold so less air, more fuel. Once the engine starts less "choke" more air as "she" (the engine) (see how we love the feminine) warms up. American tanks used gasoline (petroleum) fuel, not diesel at the time so you could try it out on your lawnmower or something. Maybe? BTW I DO love your reactions. Both of you.

Yup! Cars with carburetors had a choke lever that you pulled to start it and then you pushed it back in once the engine warmed up (too soon and the engine would stall). This became unnecessary once electronic fuel injection was invented. I remember my Dad being excited about it when my family bought our first fuel injected car in 1986.

“Choke her up she’s cold”’ old engines had a choke to adjust the air to fuel mixture entering the carburetor. Called a “choke” cause you’re restricting airflow or increasing airflow, depending on whether you had the choke pushed in or pulled out.

15:00 those are Tracer bullets. Every few bulltes they added those to have optical indicator where they shoot at. Of course the negativ part of thise is that enemys see exactly where you shoot from.

Grady kept bullying Norman because war messed him up but *also* because he was jealous of Norman sleeping with Emma. Emma thinks Norman is adorable but she finds Grady terrifying, and that makes him feel more messed up, makes him feel how war changed him more intensely. He's upset that he lost his innocence a long time ago and is envious that Norman still has his.
The armies coated certain machine gun rounds in different metallic powders that burn different colors. Sulfur burns blue, copper burns green, phosphorous burns yellow, and strontium and lithium burn red. This made it easy to see where your bullets were going, but color coding made it easy to see who's bullets were being fired. You could identify different armies and different groups of soldiers that way.
The pure "Britishness" in the intro is amazing. You guys are great!
You guys should watch the HBO mini-series the Pacific. It was directed and produced by Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg and is based off of multiple true stories of American Marines fighting the Japanese during WW2

That is something you can't recreate without some kind of trauma. and please tell Hannah, she is great at the reactions! Always loving the banter between you two and her takes. Another recent war movie is 1918 which is really great and and older movie called, Black Hawk Down is a good movie based on a true story.

Though the ending scene is often regarded as fiction in how 5 men can hold off 400-1,200 (battalion sized unit), the ending is believed to have taken inspiration from the real life story of US Army 2LT. Audie Murphy. He held his ground, alone, on top of a burning tank with the tanks .50 cal mounted weapon (same as Wardaddy) against 300+ German soldiers and 6 German tanks. He survived and was awarded the Medal of Honor for his actions. He is the most decorated US military person ever and a legend amongst the US military personnel/community.

• The German tank was known as a Tiger (Panzer Kampfwagen VI) tank. It was the most heavily armored protected tank of World War II. It's gun was an 88mm capable of penetrating the thinner armor of the American Mark IV Sherman tank with ease and striking its target at a greater distance than any other tank. The Sherman's 75mm gun was not capable of penetrating the front and side armor of a Tiger. It could have done damage with a side shot on the tracks and wheels but this would have only immobilized the tank and not prevent it from turning its turret and firing. However, as you correctly understood, the Tiger's armor in the rear was thinner and penetrable by 75mm round.
• As we all know, movies come with a rating system. However, after watching Hannah carefully daubing her tears so as to not mar her makeup, I believe there should be a rating system that tells her how little or how much make-up to apply prior to watching a movie.
the tiger was not the most heavily armored, not even the tiger 2 was, that title goes to the Jagdtiger that, despite never seeing combat, its armor was way stronger than the tiger's, A normal sherman shooting at the side armor of a tiger was enough to destroy it and pen it, no need to go all the way around. Fury is a 76mm sherman, the 76 could pen the tiger on the front at a distance of 800 meters.
@@spygineer1076 I agree that at the range depicted in the film and any distance less than 800 yards (yards was used in the reference material I consulted) the 76mm Sherman could penetrate a Tiger's side turret and superstructure thickness of 80mm or its hull of 60mm, since the 76mm gun penetration was rated at 93mm at 800 yards. However, I don't believe at 800 yards it is a given that a Sherman 76mm, firing at the front armor of a Tiger, would penetrate its 100mm thickness. Of course, we would be debating that the difference of 7mm would or would not be enough to prevent penetration. I certainly would not want to bet my life on it. Perhaps, a HEAT round could do it but I'm not that knowledgeable on ammo capability.
In a real world situation, a Tiger would take advantage of its lethality and survivability by engaging Sherman fronts at distances greater than 1,500 meters.

A biographical war movie about the most successful female sniper in recorded history. I am really curious how your reactions would be to the things that happen in the movie or rather in the time period and if Hannah could relate to that.
Of course other war movies are more popular and are reacted to more on youtube, but this is one that needs more attention and is with 7.1 imdb close to Fury 7.6 (just so you know it isn't trash, Ash) 😁

Loved the reaction as always.. Never disappoints.. Fury is by far the one of the best WW2 films to come out in a long time. The intensity in this fking movie is on a whole different level. From the drama to the battle scenes and those brief subtle moments of jubilation after a victory or laughter at some dark twisted joke, you get so invested in the characters and grow more attached to each of them as the movie progresses. You can't help but root for these lads from start to finish and the more you invest the more attached you become. It really shows the brotherly bond and commadery they share during such a brutal and horrific time. I rank this up there with the likes of saving private Ryan, battle of Iwo Jima and hacksaw ridge, all classic WW2 films that are a shock to the system. Love you, you beautiful humans and again bloody fantastic reaction.
6:00 "Choke 'er up, she's cold" is referring to the tank's engine. When starting a cold internal combustion engine, the ratio of air in the fuel-air mixture needs to be dialed back (creating a richer fuel/air ratio), which means the engine operator needs to have a means to control the airflow into the engine. This is done via what's known as the choke valve, which as the name suggests, 'chokes' the amount of air going into the engine. Once the engine warms up, you open the choke valve & increase the airflow (for car owners wondering where the hell their choke valve is: most modern vehicles are fuel-injected, with an Electronic Control Module (ECM) that automatically controls the airflow based on engine temperature)

A good flick, but the depiction of America's forces in Europe as desperately struggling underdogs is a bit... iffy from a historical standpoint.
While the extreme advantage of the Tiger tank over the Sherman was fairly accurate, American forces were extremely well equipped, had an abundance of man and firepower, and fairly unrestrained air support given the state of the German airforce at that point.
Movies like this tend to depict a WW2 in which gruff American heroes triumphed over desperate odds to carry the world to victory on its bloodied back. Nothing 'wrong' with that, but from the grandchild of three Canadian WW2 vets, I wish they wouldn't pretend America won on it's own.
The war really turned around when America joined in due to exactly what you listed “being well equipped and abundant resources” a lot of the allied militaries would have starved if it wasn’t for US supplies not to mention the abundance of steel given to allies from the US but yes everybody had an important role but this is an American film directed at the American audience it doesn’t really make sense to make a film about Canadian or British soldiers, there should be films about Canadian soldiers but I’ve yet to see any Canadian directors decide to make any it might have to do with the fact majority of Canada isn’t as pro military compared to their American counterparts.
@@kevinprzy4539 there isn't much of a Canadian film industry, and Hollywood's standing deal with the US military means most American war films are bound to highlight American exceptionalism. Passchendale is one of the few examples of a feature film about Canadian soldiers/engagements in WW2, but Canadians were stationed and fighting in Europe from 1939 to the end, taking significant casualties and earning a terrifying reputation amongst German forces years before America decided to join the war.
