Fun fact, Robin has two English voice actors - Chevy is her singing voice and Alice Himora does the dialogue!
Alice range and voice control is so good.
Her switching to Robin's voice is always funny.

A lot of the character trailers have had a unique version of the Honkai Star Rail logo, so Robin's is purple with her signature. It's also got the underline changed to soundwaves.
If you're curious if you'd need Robin, she's a Physical Harmony character who will likely play strongest with Follow-up attack characters. She deals damage and regens energy whenever her allies deal damage, so she'll be doing more if allies are doing additional attacks like Follow-ups.
Also her ultimate does actually have her replace the battle music with this song from the trailer, she stands there and sings it until her next turn.
To put it simple, she's Bronya on steroids, couse she can advance the turn of the entire party with her ult in addition to everything else.
6:47 She is Harmony and she actually does have the song that's in this trailer playing during the duration of her ult (its continuous over multiple turns)
Robin's Myriad Cylestia does go more into her background and about her life around being famous.

The moment I saw her sing when she activates her Ultimate, I knew I wanted her. Loved the trailer. I've probably watched it on loop in the last hour. Unfortunately, I used up all my funds to get Aventurine.

So if you go for Robin there is an achievement for listening to her song when she uses her ultimate in the status screen during a battle, though you may be able to pull that off in the character demo who knows

In terms of actual story we don't know a lot about Robin. The Myriad Celestia trailer did show her past and her mentality about her fame but in terms of current plot we don't know much.
What we do know (without spoilers) is that she was one of the first people to investigate the problems on Penacony and is likely been doing things behind the scenes which is one reason we haven't seen a lot of her.
Personally the fact that she's a little mysterious and with what little we've seen about her is very telling, she's currently one of my obsession characters. I need to know what her part in the overall story has been.
Georgie, if you're in need of a Harmony buffer, you can't go wrong with pulling for Robin.

Was such a cool trailer, but as much as she is a good character for Dr. Ratio & Topaz I will be skipping and saving for the 2.3 characters that they drip marketed on their site already. But she is a Harmony character since you had commented if she did healing, but she is not a healer. Looking forward to when you reach Penacony cause the story patches have been so good! Peak storytelling!

I just have the feeling that robin might be a cute and happy character that has a really tragic backstory, like most characters in Star Rail. Hook and Yukong Backstory really show you, how dark this world can be. (Hook was my first main DPS i will defend the boss of the Moles ^^ )

I don't think her career is trapping her. I think whatever caused her to leave Penacony to pursue this career is what's trapping her. She did not become a pop star for fame or money, unlike most who end up trapped in a public image, and the makeup commercial is a hint she isn't in fact forced to monofocus on a specific public image. Given that at this instant in the story both Robin and Firefly are under circumstances that should prevent them from becoming playable characters (the current Tingyun's kit may be somewhat deliberately flawed, but we should have access to it), it seems safe to say we'll be in a position to help both by the story's end.

I am glad we are back to 2.0 trailer quality. Maybe it’s because Sparkle was right before 2.1 and Robin is right after but 2.1s trailers don’t hold up too well. Aventurines trailer was really good but not on the same level as the 2.0 stuff and what we are getting for 2.2 right now. Then there is Acherons trailer which was just the worst of any limited 5 star.
Robin wasn’t actually the person in the makeup trailer. That was someone else that reminded Acheron of her past.
Isnt it confirmed that Robin played that role of that girl being in makeup herself.
