After quitting the race, US President Joe Biden endorsed his Vice President Kamala Harris for the democratic ticket. Harris already has the support of a number of democrats including some high-profile leaders such as Bill and Hillary Clinton. Grassroot donors too have extended their support - by donating at least $50 million for the Harris campaign. But Harris is yet to secure the endorsement of influential democrats like former US President Barack Obama. The Democratic convention is scheduled for next month. Palki Sharma tells you more.

That is not entirely true. Clinton, Pelosi, and many governors, congressmen, and senators have endorsed her. As you have said, no candidate has challenged her so far. She will get the nomination because Biden has broken what could have been a rough path for her by endorsing her. People who pushed Biden out are getting severe backlash from party members and will not want to ride their luck too far.
