Just a heads up… The Gamma Boosted is not an all metal body. It’s a cheaply built, light and hollow, super loud, all plastic clipper just like the Rebel. It feels like a kids toy compared to an all metal body clipper like a Senior. Also, the Wahl Magic Clip has a much higher build quality than the Boosted. It’s not even close. The Boosted is one of cheapest feeling, lowest quality barber tools I’ve ever held in my hands.
@@emmanuelhayden2449I couldn’t agree more. I think Stylecraft is at the absolute bottom when it comes to quality. Gamma’s only decent product is the Cyborg trimmer. Wahl, on the other hand, absolutely dominates Gamma/Stylecraft when it comes to clippers. Especially the Senior. The only companies that can surpass Wahl’s clipper offerings are BaByliss and JRL.
u will get no argument from me on the jrl ...i got 2 of em & i love mine ...they are my 2nd favorite next to the new more powerful staggertooth bladed magic clip ...thank u sir, merry christmas, & god bless
Shit every beginner started with the Walmart wahl clippers, thats what I started with in the garage, cutting family and friends. Then I got better as time went on and it got easier after technique then with got the better clipper to tie it all together.
I’m really torn between both of these right now. I had the new Babyliss pro boost fx and sold it because it’s too bulky and I just couldn’t get to used to them. Now it’s either the onyx or instinct. Leaning towards the onyx for the fade blade. Coming from my wahl seniors.
Right on I have a jrl onyx clipper I love it this clipper award made my year . I’m not saying all other are ok they are good too I agree with the oster detachable but when I got my jrl I fell in love with them so now I know it wasn’t just me
Can't disagree with your picks because you, as a professional, know what you like in a clipper. They are all masterfully engineered heavyweights in the profession and you can't go wrong with either of them. Great rundown.
@@ConcisetheBarberyeah i know... but the cyborg clipper is pretty cool. For left and right handed people. This is a 1st that is not talked about enough..
Gamma/Stylecraft claim that the Boosted/Rebel runs at 7,200 RPM… They actually run at 6,540 RPM. 🤦♂️ Two of the worst clippers I’ve ever held in my hands.
@@clintmallon dang really? I love the Rebel. It mows down hair. But I will say it leaves a few hairs. Have to have a magnetic motor clipper on hand for the wirey-hard old white guys 😂
@@RyanAlcaI can’t get over how cheaply made they are. Too loud. Too much plastic. Far too overhyped and overpriced. If they were $80 like they should be, I’d be ok with them. They’re charging BaByliss prices for half the quality and reliability. After purchasing eight Stylecrap products, I will never spend another dollar with that joke of a company.
I just admit man, I agree with you with the jrl! 🔥🔥🔥🔥 I have 2 of them jrl sent me for review and maaaaan, what a Clipper brother. Great review homie 💯
Wow Gamma and StyleCraft had a pretty good year!! I love the StyleCraft Mythic with its all metal body and faper blade. I like the heavier clippers and I think the Cyborg might be in my future…
the instinct snagged while the ergo didnt? i have an ergo and i wont use it on a full cut, it has no torque hence the rpm doesnt matter, but appreciate your list and review thanks
respect...if you have both ..and try to use both with bulk (4c hair) and see which one does better) ...even tho the rpms at rest are higher with the instinct..the rpms of the a little slower with the ergo ..helps feel the hair
I'm not a professional barber but, I've been cutting my hair and my kids hair for years. Always used Andis but i'm in the market for new clipper and trimmer. Have my eyes on the Saber clippers and the Gamma+ Cyborg. Specs seem to be very similar. Only difference really is the body design, LED battery level lights, and blades (which you can buy and put on the saber). Anything else I'm missing? I can find the Saber open box for $100 vs $165 for the cyborg. Any reason why you'd pay more for the Cyborg?
Dang it bro got me mad I sold my onyx 😂 I got the new lopro, sold the onyx to pay for it and within a few days I realized I made a mistake. I have the instinct x on the way now and I’m not sure I made any good choices this month 😂

Gold Magic Clip at 9? And it’s come with a charging Dock and quieter than most clippers people complain about and cheaper than most Gamma/Stylecraft and Babyliss? Yeah this list not that valid 🤣
Yea… them JRL’s are a beast. They even have an indicator on them that lets you know to put oil on the blade. I saw the trimmer video too. I gotta get the Cyborg trimmer. I’m trying the TPOB XO right now but they got ridiculously loud in just a week.🫨🫨🫨😖😖😖

Style craft and gamma don’t know how to make a quiet clipper whatsoever… the Gold Magic clip is top 5 easily over anything Gamma/Stylecraft makes

Saber clippers are really quiet by style craft
@clintmallon I agree.... Style Craft makes some of the cheapest feeling tools. P.S. I visited your website, keep up the good work
@@nermo.artistI appreciate the kind words. 💪
I'm glad to hear that someone is talking about detachable clippers. It appears that companies will be releasing their detachables in 2024.
I'm curious how long you've been using the Rebel and if you would purchase a warranty with them?
they lasted a while ..im warranty with evrything..i think it has a 1 year warranty already

i like the clipper alot
Best 1 or 2 cordless clippers or trimmer for someone like me who shaves my own head? What cuts the closest? Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks

How's the weight of the JRL Onyx? Say compared to a Magic clip? Or rebel?
a little bit more heavier not by much tho
JRL wins hands down being how quiet it is imo. Reason i hardly touch my cordless masters was due to sound

I’m surprised you selected the JRL for #1! I didn’t see that coming. Thought for certain you would select BabyList or SC or Gamma.

Tpob Xo clipper is my go to🔥
Should of made the list
Most of these clippers are overrated & overhyped
whats your top 10?
1. Tpob xo clipper 2. S/C Apex 3. Walh magic clip. 4 Tpob phantom. 5 supreme trimmer Vader my top 5 at the moment
TPOB XO is the best price to performance ratio ,love jrl onyx and Baybyliss fx1
respect
Why Cyborg gets a 5 for price?
For the quality and everything it comes with …and comparable to other clippers within the family it’s $50cheaper so that’s just a few reasons
The Instinct is easily the best-looking clipper on this list. The X is definitely ugly. Not sure what they were thinking there.
yea im not sure
Noise @ a 3 is crazy. It’s damn near 4-5. That clipper is really quiet. Name 3 clippers quieter than jrl onyx
Three was the highest for noise.
Better edit that thumbnail haha
The next clipper i get will have to have usb C charging and over 2 hours of run-time.
Raro q la rebel este posicionada mejor q la boost si son lo mismo solo diferentes cuchillas
TPOB?
didnt make my list...i havent used much products from them just two clippers
How is this a 2023 award but got the octane thats been out for like 10 yrs
Putting them on notice .. gotta respect detachables .. what’s your top 10?
Lol you got that right Ronnie
I would swop the instinct x and cyborg

Ive had 2 faulty Onyx clippers already
Great when they work but yeah im out

I would get a JRL bc I loved my first one but it died in me within a year and then I reached out and they didn’t help they said it was too late
@ConcisetheBarber yeah I've had one replaced and the second sent back for a refund.
I'm going to pick up the FXONE LoPros when they drop here in Aus
No he’ll no jrl is not better than lo pro fx one and less than cyborg. Complete disagree
and thats perfectly ok ...i dont expect everyone to agree with me
