My favorite scary moment comes from my favorite horror film of all time, Friday The 13th Part 2. It is the scene where Ginny and Paul return to the camp, and it seems deserted. The lights are all off. Ginny keeps telling Paul that there is somebody in this room. Next second, Jason pops up in the dark corner, and lunges at Paul. I was six years old the first time I saw this movie. I'm thirty six now, and, that scene has always creeped me out whenever I watch this movie. Friday The 13th Part 2 is also the first horror film that I've ever seen.
Thank you for another awesome video 😎😎😎😎😎

For me personally , the film that scared me & still does give me chills more than anything isn't even a horror film .. Titanic. Just the thought of being trapped on a giant steel sinking ship surrounded by loves ones in the middle of a freezing ocean is almost scarier than anything I could imagine. true horror.

Awesome list Lee, now that you mentioned Halloween 4 as your #1 from this list, I'm sad to say that I lost my Michael Myers Lifesize Anamotranic to a fire we had a few days ago. It started from the next block over and it was able to reach our backyard. I had to evacuate my house right away, thankfully my house and my grandparents house are ok, my grandparents house is currently vacant but I'm grateful that it didn't catch on fire. We lost everything we had in our backyard including my Michael Myers Lifesize Anamotranic that we usually displayed every year on Halloween night for our Haunted House. Not to mention the Regan from the Exorcist Anamotranic as well. So no Halloween for my family this year, I'll just be staying home watching AMC's Fear Fest all day on Halloween night. It absolutely killed me having lost my Michael Anamotranic, I had a good 10yr run with him, hopefully I can find another Anamotranic that's as realistic looking like the one I had or even better for our future Haunted Houses when we get the backyard rebuilt. This has definitely been the year from hell for my family. Loosing my Dad 3 months ago, the fire a few days ago and an earthquake the night before yesterday. Hell, I can make my own horror movie myself with everything that's happened to me this year, and I've missed alot of your videos. 😥 Anyway, hopefully things start looking up soon. This year truly sucks. This video list really helped keep my mind busy from thinking of all the bad things that have happened recently. Thank you for all you do for us Lee. 😊

Good list Lee, I had a feeling Halloween 4 would turn up. I respect your opinions, Black Christmas is one of my all time favourites. I had a huge crush on Olivia Hussey after seeing that movie lol. A few of my favourite films that feel that feel special to me are, The Omen, Ringu, The Blair Witch Project and Audition. I think it's because of the circumstances that I'd seen them or it was my age at the time.
The Omen, I'd first seen when i was probably 11 years old and it scared me, trying not to spoil but the scene late in the film involving a truck that rolls downhill gave me chills and properly shocked me. The "Look at me Damien, it's all for you" scene is one of the best scenes in horror, it really stays with you.
Ringu, was one of the first Japanese movies I had seen and so it felt very new to me especially reading subtitles. The slow burn mystery was very unsettling to me at the time, it's not a very stylish movie really which helps it to be more effective I think. It was a very different approach to horror that put me on edge. The footage on the cassette made me feel I had seen something I shouldn't have, made me sleep with the lamp on that night and the ending really creeped me out. One of the extras on the dvd was the cassette footage that had a disclaimer at the beginning basically saying that if anything happens to you after watching, the distributors are not responsible. That freaked me out at the time but it's amusing now thinking back.
Blair Witch Project, was a film that came out at exactly the right time, everyone I knew was talking about it and there was a documentary on channel 4 here in the UK that showed footage of people feeling uneasy after seeing it in the US, reports of people passing out etc. There was a lot of fuss about the film that was similar to The Excorcist I thought. I actually believed at the time it was genuinely found footage. I didn't have the Internet back then so it was harder to read up on the film so it felt mysterious to me. I remember my manager at the time had seen it and said it was shit, you don't see anything. After I'd seen it I thought it's what you don't see is what makes it scary, use your imagination. Watching this by myself in the dark is still scary to me.
Audition, was the second Japanese movie I had watched and I discovered it while flicking through channels, I knew nothing of the film and thought it was a slightly odd romantic movie. It's about a guy who's wife has recently died. He and his friend think of an idea come up with an idea of auditioning women for a part in a play that doesn't exist just to try and date them, bit of a sleazy setup I thought but it's done in a lighthearted way I guess. It soon changes into a completely different film that I can't spoil, but this movie just happened to me by accident, it tricked me and then shocked the hell out of me.
If you read all this, thank you.

I love this list it is awesome because you spanned several decades and subgenres, Kudos brother. I can not agree with you more that the 70s has such a gritty look I am not sure it was on purpose or because of the technology of the time. Literally one of the best top horror list I have seen lately. Hey I am still pushing for the Omen to make someone's list before Halloween 2020. LOL

I feel you on the "problems" with making a list....for a horror fan for at least ten years it's almost impossible to do a top ten and be satisfied. A top 50 ok...but top 10 or 20 is difficult
I'm glad you dug Paranormal Activity! I loved it...they made use our imagination a lot and that should be done more in horror.

The film that got to me was Carpenter's Halloween. It was the first slasher I'd ever seen. It was extremely unsettling to me that Michael kept coming back to life; and the small-town USA setting paired with the score gave me chills.

The movie that scared me the most was "Nightmare On Elm Street", and it isn't even close. I'm mostly freaked out by stuff that you can't control. That's why slasher movies have never been my thing. Theoretically you can just get away from them. As long as you can run faster than Jason can walk, you're good. However, Freddy was in your sleep, when you were most vulnerable. THAT freaked me out. I couldn't sleep for a couple days after that one. Movies with the occult, witchcraft, or ones that deal with demons and devils also get me.

Btw what you had with Halloween 4, i myself had with Halloween 2 1981.
First Halloween i saw ever. And it really gave me bad sleep and nightmares for some time.
The Thing i had it also, but with Halloween 2 a little bit more.
Huge nightmares about him following me. The look of that mask in that movie also haunted me.
    Talking about your number 10.
    The original Friday the 13th.
I had very creepy feelings the moment with that imitated child voice asking for help, to lure Brenda out of her cabin.
Btw another question, nothing to do with the list.
Why do you always talk so fast at the end of your videos. Before you say Drum Dums out?
    Just curious. 😉

Sorry im late. I totally agree with number 1. I didn't see it until 92 or 93 when i was 8 or 9 but i remember this movie scaring the crap out of me. It affected me for a long time and my uncle made it worse by opening my window when i didn't know it and reached in and grabbed my leg a few minutes into going to bed that night and made it 10 times worse.
