I really hope Saylor is able to return to form next year. He's been such a beast in the past at the plate, and seeing him go 0-10 with 9Ks and 2BB is just tough to watch.

Besides Kracht, Saylor was probably the single biggest issue for the Wildcats in this series. He looked completely overmatched at the plate, constantly taking big huge swings and missing by lots. Maybe choking up on the bat might have helped.
He just doesn’t loook like the same player as past years
He's been embarrassing all season. Great guy though. Still one of my favorite players.
His falloff has been insane. He was probably the scariest hitter in the league two years ago and now he is almost an automatic out

Heroic performance by Liam Jackson. Kept them in and kept it going. Underdogs always shine in big moments.
Where was he the rest of the games? He did nothing, he got a lucky swing.
The level of whiffle ball being played is so high. This was an amazing series. Kracht making his case for being the best player of 2023. The limited walks, the phenomenal hitting. He is dragging these preds to the CS.

@@derek6460 We're gonna have to see what Robles does in his Eagles/Mallards series, but right now stats wise, Robles takes it for me. Kracht is king, but Robles is the best player in MLW right now.
I’ve been a full time fan for 3 years and I think this is probably the greatest series I’ve ever watched! 3 straight walk off’s!!

Not needing 2 pitchers in the playoffs completely changes the game. Beating Ryan once is hard enough. He can single-handedly carry the team now.
I mean Warda and Russ still hit pretty well this series too
And yet it was incredibly close.
he won't be able to do that against the Magic. If for no other reason, pitching that many innings WILL take its toll. These aren't MLB pitchers.

Hindsight is 20/20, but when Kracht is teeing off on Pearson all game, you gotta think about intentionally walking him. Amazing series tho, loved the pop offs!
My first thought was that I would walk him in that situation.
Seriously - nothing you can do about Ryan's phenomenal pitching but the Cats let one guy beat them at the plate the entire series.
Kyle can't intentionally walk Kracht every at bat because it is bad for the league
@@LetzCuddle Well Kyle wouldn’t need to walk Kracht cuz he kept him hitless in the first game (I think). Pearson is a completely different story

Nick Saylor was so dominant for a solid stretch there. A batter you absolutely did not want to face. I really hope he puts in a good offseason and returns to form!
Agreed. I've enjoyed watching him play the last three years but he was a no-show today.
Can we all agree this is one of the best series’ we’ve ever seen
It's up there but might be some recency bias. Like last year the cobras had the bases loaded and nobody out with the season on the line and managed to get out of the jam. And then of course there was the crazy come back from the Diamondbacks two years ago.
I haven't been watching much longer than that so people that have been around longer could tell me other historic on.
Go watch the 2020 ALCS between these same 2 teams, it doesn’t get much better than that

Nah the lack of hitting that series was really brutal outside the stars of each team, score was close though
There’s not that many memorable plays, this series was mid for 3 games
Bro in terms of exit velo, Kracht had like 5 of the hardest hit balls I've ever seen in MLW in one series lol... Only two of them were homers, but geez man he was freaking squaring the ball up like crazy. That foul ball by Rudy also looked like it was absolutely destroyed.
I'm not a Pred's fan, but if Kracht keeps playing like this they are gonna be very, very tough to beat.

Kracht has been killing it, and the fact he can dominate while wearing women’s volleyball shorts is even more impressive! Great series.
What a series! Star for each team really showed up - Kyle was amazing, hit after hit, but Kracht was just too good. And that bat toss to end things, epic!

I've said it all year. Ryan is carrying all the preds on his back. Mvp imo. He has always been the best hitter in the League and next best pitcher and fielding to jimmy imo.

So far, the playoffs have been A+++ excitement. MLW does it again. Can't wait for the Mallards vs Eagles and Preds vs. Magic. Sport doesn't get any better than this.
Great series with both teams being so disciplined in the field and at bat. Best MLW postseason series in possibly the last three years!
How is nobody talking about the announcing in this series.. Tommy did an outstanding job and made the vibe of this series even better.

That was the best series I’ve ever seen. Heartbreaking for the Wildcats. They have nothing to hang their heads about. The Preds are peaking at the right time. THAT WAS AMAZING GUYS.
I disagree, I feel like they've got a lot to hang their heads about. Complete lack of offense from anybody but Kyle is their biggest problem. They're losing very close games, only giving up 1 or 2 runs. But they are only scoring 1 or less runs so it's a huge issue. Kyle needs to put feelings aside and dump Jackson, Saylor and possibly Pearson, that guy has the worst swing I've ever seen. He actually steps backwards when he swings the bat.

…Jackson hit a walk off, extended game three after battling back from 0-2, and played pretty well considering he was facing the style-borg of Kracht on the bump. Keep him too.
@@pandahammonds9590 Pearson produces no offense whatsoever and when he’s up against an elite pitcher he always wanes before the opposing pitching. Knorpp is a great pitcher but he produces offense, Kracht, Dallas Allen, Mallards guy, can’t think of his name at the moment. Magic. That all produce offense and pitching. Pearson just isn’t at that level yet. If he is still on the team next season he needs to show big improvement in offensive output.
Saylor will always be one of my favorite players. Despite his struggles in this series, he was always uplifting to his team and kept his head in the game. He will get back to form no doubt!

He has to, or he could find himself getting replaced by a draft pick. Batting .275 with 3 homers is decent, but it was about league-average. On top of no longer being a pitcher, he doesn't bring as much value as someone like Kyle or Pearson rn. Not to mention going 0/11 at the plate this series.
The Wildcats grinded and gave it everything they had. Props to them. Especially JP, who proved how high of a caliber he is as a pitcher this series, having to face the guy who’s gotta be the unanimous MVP this year over and over again and try to keep him contained. Loved this series. Can’t ask for much better than 3 walk-off homers (Liam’s was a beautiful hit and was truly poetic).

Yeah, a lot of the other players from 2015-2020 or so have fallen off or out of the league. He's been able to keep up with the new talent.
Stars shined in this one. For the cats, Schultz was awesome all series. Jackson came up with two big at bats. Pearson was a stud on the mound. For the Preds, Kracht was as good as ever. You really got to think he’s the best player in this league. Unbeatable force
Never seen a player carry a team as hard as Kracht carries the Preds.
He's like a 1 man army out there, did literally everything to win those games for them!

Horrible take. Kracht is a superstar but the rest of the team is good and contributed throughout the series. Without Warda & Russels big hits/homers the preds don’t win

The cats may have lost but I couldn't be more proud of how they battled a team that was heavily favored to beat them. An all-time postseason series.

This is my first season watching MLW, but there cannot have been many previous playoff series to match this one. The Predators came into this series on much better form than the Wildcats, but there was very little to separate the two teams. The pitching was uniformly brilliant with enormously high K/BB ratios, and so the offenses had to rely on timely hits, and there were several of those, with all three games ending by walkoff HR. I'm looking forward to the Magic/Predators series! Condolences to the Wildcats, they fought extremely hard, and Schultz was brilliant. They need to get Saylor sorted out one way or the other, and add one or two additional players for depth. They should be back in the mix next season.

What a series! Three walk off homers and pure excitement all around. Ryan definitely showed that he is the league's MVP again with a dominant performance.
For the Cats, a devastating loss. Two straight seasons getting beat by the Preds, not only in the regular season, but the playoffs as well. You can tell that it doesn't feel like the same team that went to the world series a couple years ago but that's not to say it's all over for them. I will say that it's nice to have some other teams getting their shot.
For the Preds, a huge win. They're definitely looking to get their get back in the ALCS after being so close last year. Will they choke? maybe. Will they pull it off? maybe. I'm super excited for the next two series because both underdog teams are also the hottest teams in the league. Should be a fun one!

Possibly one of the best bat flips ever filmed. Great job to both teams. Both teams won here. Cats will be back next year with a chip and the Preds are beyond locked in right now. Excited to see what is to come for this year and the future.

- every time Saylor comes to the plate we always hear (mainly from Tommy) that he’s a dangerous hitter etc. Dude probably struck out 50 times on the season
- cannot pitch to Kracht in that spot. I get that you don’t want to win “cheaply” but winning cheaply is better than losing

The key piece missing for the cats was Saylors hitting, no two ways about it. When he’s hitting they’re just as good if not better than the preds. He didn’t have a single hit in this series. That’s why they lost
