Excellent episode!! I've been a long time "buy and hold" person. I don't have that "itch" to change up my investments unless it's to re-balance 2-3x a year. My partner is much more involved and we have had to compromise because he looks for and sees the opportunities that I don't. We've surpassed our financial goals and I'm excited to be able to talk with our kids about the financial legacy they will inherit. Not just the financial piece, but more importantly all the knowledge and financial tips I've gained from the mistakes I've made. I talk with them about spending less than they earn and delaying gratification for things they want later in life. For instance my Soc sec is approx $3k monthly because I was able to delay it until 70. This will not be the same going forward so they need to be prepared! Your financial fundamentals are key to a strong foundation so I encourage them all to listen to your podcast and read your book! It would have helped me a lot in my earlier years, but it's never too late to change....I'm living proof of that. Thanks again so much Kiersten and Julien~ Congrats on your continued success~😀
This is so helpful. Brokerage accounts have been something I needed more information on. I have one where my ESPP is located but I haven’t actively invested actively in. I am the HSA queen though. Do you have info on 529 and custodial accounts?
The brokerage account and HSA provide some cheat codes that can be legally exploited to our benefit. The preferential tax treatments on long term capital gains (brokerage) and "shoe-boxing" health care expenses (HSA) takes the game to another level.

Great conversation and episode! The fundamentals work and buy and hold strategies should be everyone's friend.
Great conversation. The fundamentals work

Great breakdown. What are your two high conviction stock for longterm growth you would pick if you had to invest all over again?
Acorn and Stash accounts are great beginners investing accounts. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
