    a) Convex mirror
    b) Convave mirror
    c) Concave mirror (?)
    Q2 ) f = r/2 therefore r = f×2 and the r= 10× 2 = 20 cm.
    Q3) A plane mirror is a flat surface which reflects the image clearly.
    A Concave mirror is an inverted image of original object and also it is a magnified image.
    A Convex mirror is a mirror in which basically we can se many things fitted in the image obtained or objects get divereged into the mirror.. thanks alott for such a good explaination it made the chapter so easy to understand...👍👍

    Q1
    (a) convex
    (b) concave
    (c) concave
    Q2
    given,
    f=10cm
    R = 2f
    = 2 x 10
    = 20cm
    Radius R = 20 cm.
    Q3
    Without touching the mirror, we still can identify the type of that mirror. We can identify them just by merely standing in front of it. If the image is of same height and upright it might be a plane mirror. If the image is inverted and when moved closer the image is highly magnified, it is a concave mirror. If the image formed is diminished, it is a convex mirror. We can also identify them by looking at the mirror whether it is flat, bulged or curved inwards.

    1 ) a ) Convex mirrors are used in shop security mirrors. b) Concave mirrors are used in solar furnace c) A concave mirror is used by dentists to examine teeth. 2) The radius of curvature is exactly twice the focal length so the answer is 20cm . 3) If you look into a plane mirror, you can find that the size of the image is same as that of the object. If you look into a concave mirror, you can see an enlarged image when placed close and can see an inverted image when kept away. A convex mirror always forms a small and erect image.

    The Top Three Questions:
    1.a) Convex Mirror
    1.b)
    1.c) Concave Mirror
    2) The radius of curvature will be the double of the focal length i.e. 10x2 cm = 20 cm.
    3) We can distinguish between a plane mirror, concave mirror and convex mirror by looking into each of them. The plane mirror will give us an image of the same height, while the concave mirror will give an inverted image and when looked closer, it will become straight and magnified. In the convex mirror, the image will be shorter and diminished, no matter the distance between the object and the mirror.
    (Sir, I have a doubt in the 1st question, number 'b' as I don't know the type of mirror used in a solar furnace and its purpose. This is my one and only doubt. Other than this, I have no doubt or problems and my concept is clear.)

    Answers below-
    1)
    a)Convex(because the image formed in the shop security mirror is diminished)
    b)Concave (because the image formed in the solar furnace is magnified)
    c) Concave (because the image formed in the mirror by dentists is magnified)
    2)We know that focul=radius/2.
    So if focal length is 10 cm the radius of curvature will be focal x 2.
    So 10 x2 will be 20 cm.And that’s the answer.
    3)Plane mirror is a flat surface which reflects light .Also the body will be of the same height and erect.
    Concave mirror is curved surface which reflects light.The image will be magnified and inverted.
    Convex mirror is a surface which reflects light and is curved outwards.The image is diminished.
    Hope this helps.

    Q1
    a. Convex mirror is used in shop security mirror so as to give a wide view
    b. Plane mirror is used in solar furnace
    c. Concave mirror is used be dentist to examine teeth because of its magnification
    Q2
    If f = 10cm, R = f×2 = 10 × 2 = 20cm
    Q3.
    Plane mirror
    - The image will be the same as the object
    - the image will be at the same distance as the object
    - the image will be erect and virtual
    Concave mirror
    - The image will be inverted at first but when move closer, it will be magnified
    Convex mirror
    - The image will be smaller than the object
    - it gives a wide view of image

    b. Concave mirror
    c. Concave mirror
    2. f=r/2
    10=r/2
    10×2=r
    r=20
    3. There are two ways you can distinguish between plane, Concave and convex mirrors-
    •plane mirror - the reflective surface is flat
    concave mirror - the reflective surface is curved inwards
    convex mirror- the reflective surface is curved outwards
    OR
    •plane mirror- when an object is held in front of it, the image appears to be the same size
    concave mirror- when an object is held in front of it, the image appears to be inverted. If the object is held very close to the surface of the mirror, the image appears to be magnified.
    convex mirror - if an object is held in front of it, the image appears to be diminished.

    (C ) concave mirror because it enlarged the image of the teeth

    3. In a plane mirror the image is of the same size as that of the object and the image is erect .
    In a concave mirror the image looks inverted when far away from the mirror and magnified when near the mirror .
    In a convex mirror the object appears diminished helping us to see a wider view of the area .

    If you look into a concave mirror, you can see an enlarged image when placed close and can see an inverted image when kept away.

    Q1. (a)convex mirror
    (b)concave mirror
    (c)concave mirror
    Q2. As we know that focal length is the half of radius and radius is double of focal length so radius is equal to double of focus
    Radius= 2*focal length
    R=2*10cm =20cm
    So the radius is 20cm
    1
    Q3.By standing in front of all the three
    •If the image is exactly equal to person or the substance.
    •If we go close to a concave mirror it becomes mangnified and if the distance is increased then it forms magnified and virtual image.
    •It will always form virtual image ,it will form an upright image if you are near the focus..

    First question = a.) Convex mirror
    b.)i am not sure but concave mirror
    c.) Convex mirror
    Second question = given focal length = 10cm so since radius =f/2 to gind f use f=radius×2. f=10cm×2=20cm
    Third question= plane mirrors show us the same hight like the real object and the image is upright
    Concave mirrors they can show as inverted and magnified images when we get close it gets magnified and when we get far from it it gets inverted
    Convet mirrors they cover larger area for as to see and the rays are demnished
    Thanks sir now i have an improved understanding about mirrors correct me if i am mistaken in my answers 🖒 Thanks

      Focus is formed behind the mirror because when light rays which are parallel will pass through focus and the light rays will diverg and we will not get the focus from the original light rays to get the focus we will stretch the light ray backward so as to get the focus of the mirror..
