    Another mob hit that should've made this list was the triple capo murders, ordered by Joey Massino. After the Galante hit, 3 capo's tried to take the leadership of the Bonnano family for themselves, Sonny Red, Dominick Trincera and Phil Giacone. They were made examples of as a result.

      It is interesting you say glamorizing criminals and that you're also a historian. In truth, there is very little difference between the Mafia from the 20s to the 90s and the Roman empire following the period of the 5 great emperors. The only real thing that differentiates the mafia from Rome at that time is that the Mafia works inside of a larger nation known as the USA, whereas the emperors were assassinated by their fellow governing body members

    One picture is the notorious Harry Strauss, a prolific killer for Murder Inc. His mob name was "Pittsburg Phil," due to him being out of town for private hits. They say that he dressed very well-which is apparent here-he must of been on the lam, as he was unshaven, but was always very careful about his appearance.

    • @Michael-xk3sp

    Shows like The Sopranos paint a fine line between an accurate portrayal of life in the mob and glamorizing it, but I lean toward the former. Anyone who crosses a mob boss, especially if it’s one who cares about his family, will quickly learn it’s over.

  • @ShmuckOnWheels
    @ShmuckOnWheels 20 годин тому

    I forget the name of the target or who hit him, but usually on documentaries about the mob you'll see a photo of a dead guy sitting in the passenger seat of a car and his head is leaning back with his eye open and mouth agape like he was having a heart attack from the scare of being shot, and there's blood on his face. It's scary.
