A great half from Japan but an even better one from the roses, cannot wait for 2023 for our friendly rematch thank you again Japan for giving us a stellar game of rugby.
Loving the regular full length match uploads - but is there any way you guys could show the 23 from each team before the match? It would be really cool to understand where the team was in terms of player base etc
Player base in Autumn 2018 looked shakey.. Billy V, Manu, Watson, Joseph, all out with injuries, some long term. Cole having a dire season, Marler retired till his missus told him to bugger off as she wanted a girls holiday.
Farmer Dod 1 Alec Hepburn 2 Jamie George 3 Harry Williams 4 Charlie Ewels 5 Maro Itoje 6 Courtney Lawes 7 Mark Wilson 8 Zach Mercer 9 Danny Care 10 George Ford (Captain) 11 Chris Ashton 12 Alex Lozowski 13 Jack Nowell 14 Joe Cokanasiga 15 Elliot Daly
1:21:48 - that was a clear foul as the Japanese player tackles the English no.23 when he doesn't have the ball; he trips the English player thereby causing him to miss the ball and thereby knock it on and yet not a word is said about it. Mystifying.
This game wasn’t that good. England failed to pile on the points against Japan. Then again Eddie Jones made a number of changes which was the reason for the 35-15 score line. They could have won by 40-50 points instead of a below par 20.
Either you know little about rugby, or you fail to understand what was happening in that Autumn series.. Firstly Japan as shown in the RWC have become a genuine force in world rugby, as Jones knew they would from his time coaching them,. No one puts 50 points past them anymore.. Secondly Jones was resting some players after a hard game the week before against the all blacks, and knowing they had to play Australia the following week. That's just good man management. Also he was looking at players on the periphery of the RWC reckoning in case of injuries, form etc. Players like Billy V with his arm problems, Cole having a nightmare season, Joe Marler announcing retirement etc. Also Watson, Joseph and Manu all out with long term injuries. He had to try integrate front row players like Williams and Moon in case they were needed for the RWC, and give as much rest as possible to the likes of Genge and Sinckler, plus look at back row options with Wilson, Lawes etc, and new midfield combinations. Also with smaller squads at the RWC versatile players like Nowell had to be able to move around the back line.. Eddie was proved right in his build up to the RWC, and his tactical selections showed the depth required to get to a RWC final..
@@tollyt7465 Actually i know about rugby. England still should have won more comprehensively regardless of the team Eddie Jones put out. NZ would have put 50+ past them.
Japan played really well but England's attack was useless. They always rely too much on the boot and the up and under. No control or incision in their attack.
@@georgemacpherson1992 Key players dropping off tackles, yellow card for disciple, all caused by excellent Japanese pressure. Would've, could've, should've are all hypothetical George. Eddie would not have been surprised by the Japanese, that IS a given, for me.
This is what is keeping me sane through this quarantine
X hubble X we’re allowed out now mate

Awful refereeing from a Southern Hemi ref. As always.
You’re right there I’m English but that last penalty lift tackle should have at least been a yellow

Yutamura's performance is the worst. What is his attraction?
OK England doesn't need to cheat but do, the African lock seems to be a habitual offender..
The _what_ lock now?
