Alice! hi! Yes, I love that the ordinary discloses the fermentation for their milky toner but I’m more excited for their newest released serum. I have been looking at that good molecules, vitamin C serum as well! This is definitely an exciting video!
Hell ya Geek & Gorgeous! I swear G&G products healed, strengthened and soothed my skin after I switched ✨ If you're on Tretinoin, do yourself & skin a favor by switching to G&G products! 💜 Also, huge shout out to Prequel's Gleanser! 😍 (only cleanser I use now!). G&G products I use: Liquid Hydration Toner, both Hydration Station & Happier Barrier Moisturizers, Stress Less serum & Power Peptide serum ✨
Hi Alice! 😃 Oh, I have the Ordinary toner on my list! Looks beautiful - I haven't tried many of Good Molecules products - I think I tried a toner a few years back. I haven't tried anything from Geek & Gorgeous, and I haven't tried anything from Bubble either, lol. Love the Inside Out Movie ❤ looking forward to part 2 - I loved UP - such a great movie! Finding Nemo is my happy place movie - I feel comfort watching that movie. I am currently using the SKIN1004 Centella Sunscreen - I really like this one. I just picked up the Torriden, Cellmazing Firming Cream and lip mask from Tocobo, and the Missha, Super Aqua, Cell Renew Snail, Cleansing Foam. Off topic, but my last order from YesStyle took 2 weeks - my next order will be longer though - I don't mind waiting. Have a lovely evening, Alice! 🌸💮🌸
@AliceintheRabbitHole I've been using adapalene for about 3 weeks and my skin has become so sensitive!!! Even sunscreen burns....around my eye area. And I'm only applying adapalene on my cheeks! Am I missing something or doing something wrong??
@chetnapatel-harivel7387 A couple things I would suggest: make sure you give adequate time for the adapalene to absorb before applying anything else on top (usually 5-10 mins), and also try the "sandwich method" of applying a moisturizer before AND after your adapalene. However I would say the adjustment period can be quite long, up to 8 weeks for your skin to fully adapt. It seems difficult now but if you persist you hopefully will see the much more long term benefits! For me overall since using it for quite some years now, my skin type tends to be slightly drier, and more combination than before I had quite oily skin, so some changes might need to be worked with. But my acne has much decreased and I don't see myself stopping the product anytime soon!
@angelariedle5030 thank you so, so much for your response!!! Its very helpful and informative!! I feel a little better now knowing that I just need to persist. I tried the sandwich method last night and I must admit, my skin wasn't as sensitive as it usually is upon sunscreen application! I'm determined to carry on! Out of interest, which moisturiser do you use? And also, which eye cream? I'm so upset that I'm having to ditch my retinaldehyde during the use of adapalene. It was doing wonders for my face (apart from the spots of course...but that's not due to the retinaldehyde, I'm pretty sure as I've been using it for years). I'm 48 and I think its due to going through perimenopause. Planning to see a dermatologist soon to see if tretinoin is an option because the adapalene seems to be leaving behind some hyperpigmentation from the acne. And yes, I've been using small amounts. But I think I'll try and decrease even more to see if that helps. Thanks again for your advice! I'm truly so grateful for it! X
I suspect that The ordinary has taken over more and more products from NIOD. Like the pink barrier serum from TO smells like and feels like Modulating glucosides from NIOD, with a few different ingredients. The TO toner is similar to the NIOD Non-acid acid precursor. I loved the MG serum from NIOD but it's no longer available where I live. The pink barrier serum from TO is similar enough to be as good, if not better than MG.
Thank you very much for the in depth information on many subjects. I really appreciate this support, as I see it. There’s a crazy world of skin health/ care out there and reading and listening to this channel has given a lot of insights. Thank you!
Alice, I broke down about a month ago and bought SKII. I found it at an incredible discount, that still made it more expensive than just about anything in my skin care routine! That said I got it. I used it for about a week and I was blown away. I fully expected not to be blown away and I wanted to get it out of my system, after hearing you talk about it for several years now. I don’t know what kind of fairy dust is in that product but it’s pretty incredible. I’ve bought the other fermented products and liked them very much, like the CosRX galactomyces toner. But like you’ve always suggested there’s something special in SKII’s formula!
I love the orange one, even controls my oils somehow, and I was even going through an allergic reaction on my face from another product and this sunscreen didn't irritate at all, may try the green one too at this point!
Hello Alice, the Good Molecules serum has a component that you mention and it is oryzanol that is present in rice and surprisingly it has scientific studies that promote the reduction of tyrosinase with multiple antioxidants, in addition to promoting the formation of elastin and I had never known the benefits of rice despite using toners with rice (now I'm using the Thank You Farmer one and I really liked it), but now I understand why my skin looked visibly brighter and more hydrated. Have you seen the launches of the Korean brand Nineless, they have 2 very promising serums with excellent ingredients such as azelaic acid and another with Kojic acid and I had never seen Korean serums with kojic acid. Apart from you, I am very passionate about skincare and I like to know what is in my products and their benefits. A hug and I hope you are very well 😘
G & G A-Game10 has been great for my skin. I tried Tretinoin for about a year, starting very slowly. Tretinoin was too harsh and caused irritation on my skin. My skin loves retinal, no irritation or additional redness. My rosacea is not worse using A-GAME. I'm very interested in that peptide serum! Many blessings!!!💖💖💖
Animated movies are the best when they are done well. One of my all time favorites is Fantastic Mr. Fox. If you all haven’t seen it, you really should! It’s stop motion at its finest.
Just needed to say. Ive neglected my skin for the last year. A lot on lately. House renovation and everything in storage. Alice your videos are the ones im going over again to remind myself how to do all this skin care again. Ive missed it so much. My sensitive rosacea acne prone skin is crying at me right now. But im on it, like a car bonnet. Its a messy bonnet but still i know whats possoble and i just need to put in the time. Thanks for your amazing videos. Much appreciated.
I love the Purito soft touch sunscreen too. Tried it on your recommendation and it's a fave, and sometimes the lighter formulas like the new Releaf aren't great on my dry skin. But the curiosity to try a new product is real esp. when it's 50% off on yesstyle! 😄
I love affordable skincare, especially K-Beauty, I could never afford something like SKII or even most Sephora brands are too expensive. I really want to try that Purito sunscreen, they seem to have two new ones, one in an orange tube as well which I need to try too. I just ordered the mary and may peptide serum to try out as Ive never tried peptide serums before
Alice! I wanted to jump in here to tell you that I saw on a recent TJ Maxx makeup video that they had the peace out wrinkle patches for 6.99!!! I think you mentioned once you loved those but they were so expensive. Might be worth checking out a store near you!
Hi Alice. I do recall using the Geek and Gorgeous retinal serum and it does apply very well accordance to its price range. I am using the Korean retinal for cheaper range but I may change up to higher level of retinal soon since my skin is used to the 0.5 percent and going gradually for 1%. I will finish up my skin1004 sunscreen first before going back to Purito sunscreen since I have been buying sunscreen from Purito before the scandal. My skin also enjoys the Purito rice extract moisturizer cream when I need a thick water base moisturizer and the rice extract in the moisturizer helps with recovery after inflammation from acne breakout. 😊
Geek and Gorgeous is a Hungarian brand, right? I’m going to Budapest on my honeymoon and I’m trying to find out which stores I need to go into to find their products on store shelves 😅
I'm excited for more Inside Out as well! The new Purito sunscreen blended in so seamlessly. I might need to pick it up. What is the finish on the skin like?
Animated movies are always fun! Also, please review the Bubble Waterslide serum if you haven't already! I'm going to see if you already did as soon as this video is over.
wonderful video as always alice!! i've been eyeing the purito daily soft touch sunscreen ever since they repackaged it... i think i will be getting that!
Enjoy animated films. I’m excited for Inside Out 2. Let’s just say I feel seen with at least one of the new characters. 😉 Oh, and my kids can come too. 😂
I know I've heard one derm say that ascorbyl glucoside by itself isn't the most stable but combined with other derivatives it seems to be fine (I've seen it combined with 3-O-ethyl). Now I'm wondering how the Geek and Gorgeous, Maelove Peptide Squad and Cosrx 6 peptide skin booster compare. I know Maelove has said they use all four classes of peptides.
@@AliceintheRabbitHole I was talking about the good Molecules Eye cream- that’s what I thought you were holding up but it was a vitamin c serum. Looks just like it ! The eye cream feels good chilled in the AM and so reasonably priced!
Did you mention that you were going on vacation and I didn't hear it? I've missed seeing you and am thinking of you. Hope everything's fine and you're doing well.😌☮️💜
I got the Purito Daily Soft Touch Sunscreen and it pills on everything but bare dry skin. I've tried 4 different moisturizers and different combinations of toners and serums. Thankfully I got the BOJ sunscreen in the same order and that one works. Is The Ordinary toner moisturizing?
I want to try the peptide serum but free shipping is for 56, i think, and i cant justify buying any other products. Currently, mary and may peptide serum and love how light it is. In terms of consistency, is it similar? Love your videos they're so informative
Different! The geek & gorgeous has more of a creaminess to it. But I know exactly what you mean with the minimum for shipping. My dream is to be able to get them at Ulta…maybe someday!
Is it true that The Ordinarys copper peptide serum is a higher percentage than the Geek and Gorgeous?? I still want to try it but I'm probably gonna have to wait. I have to take advantage of PC Anniversary sale then next month its Amazon Prime Day.
I bought purito sunscreen in orange/white tube but every time I use it end up with break outs. Can’t use it at all. And I have mature dry/combo skin type.
I never tried the hybrid, but I’d assume it would have at least some drying characteristics as zinc oxide is astringent. The wonder releaf is neither moisturizing nor drying (just lightweight) and the soft touch is moisturizing ☺️
I also bought this Purito sunscreen but cannot use on my face as it is very dewy and does not stick to skin well, however Purito soft touch is much better as it does not contain hialuronic acid and sticks on skin well so it is harder to wipe off if you are applying face powder. And I will never buy korean hialuronic or gel sunscreens like skin1004, isntree, beauty of joseon as their spf and paa label does not match real protection they provide. I have got pigmentation and became suntanned with skin1004 this weekend as this gel consistency sunscreen cannot stay on combination skin more that half an hour. I have also seen a lot of reviews that light korean sunscreens do not protect sufficient due to their consistency. Please check the efficacy of the product using uv lamp after 30 min applying before you advice any sunscreen product (and using face powder on top of it). I always have been using european versions of La roche posay and Vichy sunscreens and never had pigmentation, and my skin remained white without tan. Will never buy korean sunscreens.
I used the kopari sunscreen last 2 days I love it especially for summer and glowing skin and I just received the ordinary milky toner. Thank you so much I have some other items to try 🫶

Nothing has transformed my skin more than adapalene and reapplying my sunscreen every 3-4 hours. Korean sunscreens has made it so easy🥰
