Thank you! And yeah I do have solar on the roof! Not sure if you’re just wondering or looking into it for yourself, but if you do want some info, here’s my video about it :
Man that part at the beginning brought back memories of that Labor Day bike ride around Tahoe. What a nightmare! Glad you had more fun here, it looks beautiful
@@BeerinBeautifulPlaces When we were doing the TRT and there was a special mountain biking trail ride going on so we had to step off the trail for like 300 bikers throughout the day.
I love to bicycle. A few thoughts. Maddy, that must have been a groovy beer. You were a happy chick! That's great! If you get to Northern / Western Illinois, I HIGHLY recommend the Jane Addams Trail. I've ridden it many times - it's connected to the Great Illinois Trail and one that goes up to Madison from its North End. You can get on it and go north at Freeport, Illinois, my home town to a cool little village called Orangeville. :) BTW, in my former turf, too, is Pecatonica, Illinois, (aka "Pec"), which I believe is or was the center of the United State. :) Both in Stephenson County. I love dark stout beers like that with a hint of coffee/chocolate/other carby stuff. :) Yum. Pec has its own brewery; I think Freeport does too. Be well - Merry Christmas and be safe. Diana
Hey Diana! I’ve already been to Illinois on this road trip, but when I’m back that way again, I’ll come back to this comment! The Jane Addams Trail sounds awesome. If a trail is named after a woman, I’m extra interested! We have enough trails named after men already! The beer plus chatting with locals in the brewery put me in a really silly, excited mood! When I went back to edit that footage, I made myself laugh! Thank you for your support, as always, and Merry Christmas to you too!
That was a first for me to see. A chocolate beer in a brandy sifter. That also looked like a great bike path to ride a bike on. Really enjoyed your video.
What a fun bike ride! No I didn't know mushrooms could grow in sand.. I flunked map and compass class so we would get along spendidly... thank you for sharing
I usually park for free, but I was especially excited to be able to park there because I could have a second beer since I didn’t have to drive anywhere!
Girl you need to make yourself a “honey bucket” ! I grew up in a single shack no heat or water . I would have to run outside to go use the bathroom at my parents. It was a very wet town we had fun bars every block literally ! Sooooo I had me a bucket in my room . Would use it and set it outside the door to deal with in the morning ! And now I hear pine pellets are the bomb 👍

Hi Maddie. I love watching your videos. There are cross country bicycle trails all over the US. I'm considering building a teardrop mini camper for a bicycle and get out of my cave for a long ride. I might stop by that brewery and have a couple of beers (thanks to you). I'm glad to see you safe, healthy, having a great time, and being happy. That's mostly what life is all about Ms. Maddie.
Hey Pops Pops! That sounds like such an epic adventure! I definitely think you should do that, but that’s just my two cents. And thank you, I do feel like I’m living life to the fullest!
Loved your video! Cape Henlopen State Park is one of my favorite places to camp and ride my bike and how cool you were there at the same time as the President. Next time I'm there I will defiantly pay a visit to Mispillion River Brewing and try that chocolate covered pretzel stout🍻
Always appreciate your videos & the van life tips. If you ever make your way over to N. Michigan, Oberon would be a great beer, but there are many options at local breweries. Lots of great hiking around Sleeping Bear NPS. Safe Travels!
Thank you! Sadly, I have already been to Michigan, that was state number 6! I went to Pictured Rocks, among other things. I think I might have had Oberon before the road trip though! I remember ordering it because I was like, “oh it’s like king Oberon! A midsummer nights dream!”

Maddies, you should explore different angles of your filming technics. When I watch your video, I have the feeling that they are all the same steady camera position, same angle and same distance between you and your cam. It's quite boring. You should zoom out a bit at least and try to cut more and film at different moments when you move. This is my humble opinion. Hope this can hope to increase your number of subscribers. Keep on and keeping on.
I spend a lot of time on my filming technique, so feedback is always needed and appreciated, but I’m not sure what you mean. Do you mean zoom out when I’m sitting in my van talking to the camera or when I’m out exploring? As for needing to cut more often, I generally limit a shot (talking to the camera excluded) to no more than three seconds. With go pro footage, I let it go a little longer to “put the viewer IN the action”. So same question as before, what types of shots do I need to cut more of? Thanks for letting me know, and I’d really appreciate hearing more so I know exactly what you’re talking about
Ok, in fact, what I mean by zoom out is that I noticed most of the time, your face cover a quite large percentage of the screen size. It will be more interesting if we can see more your surrounding environment and show us what you see as well. Maybe you can watch how this youtu.ber is filming. ua-cam.com/video/K2UHXTnMyvQ/v-deo.html Hope this can help.
I know what you’re talking about now. I don’t like that either, it embarrasses me to think about people watching this on a TV screen can see every last wrinkle and bit of acne on my face! 🙈 That is something I’m working on, but my arm is only so long, and I don’t have a tripod. Since I’m living off my savings, I’m only buying “the essentials”. 😞 But I asked for one for Christmas!
