go back to season 1 final episode around 4:30 and it explains how the brothers are made, from a woman who can be impregnated by curses, it tells of a story of her being forced to bare 9 curse wombs, 1 being choso and his two other brothers, and yuji being another brother. there are 5 others in storage somewhere we don't currently know (in anime) and that is why they are related, by the woman who gave birth to the curse wombs.
thats not fully accurate yuji isnt one of the cursed womb spirits they were all made 150 years ago, from the anime perspective nothing towards yuji lineage is explained except he was raised by his grandfather not knowing his parents and then these line choso says.

The brain is significantly older than 150 years, and Kamo was nowhere near its first host or original body. Because of the body-hopping, his actions get blamed on his hosts, not himself. He's so evil that even Sukuna finds him a little disturbing at times.
Also, Yuji and Choso are brothers, not related by some past ancestor. Yuji's grandfather wanted to say something about Yuji's parents (who Yuji never met) but he died before he could. Without spoilers, there is a reason why Yuji was superhuman and casually breaking world records before he was possessed.

One thing to remember in this show that “revealing one’s hand” is an actual battle strategy, it’s stated (I believe it’s a binding vow) that by telling your opponent how your techniques work, the stronger they become

(NO SPOILERS) Just explaining some points of the episode for whoever might need it:
1. Fake/Pseudo Geto identity (without using his true name since that gets revealed later, probably start of S3): Pseudo-Geto is a curse user of at least 150 up to around 1000 years ago that has the ability to body swap (how the technique works is unknow for now) taking whoever's techniques that body had, in this case Geto's curse spirit manipulation, and Uzumaki, the Maximum of the CSM technique has the ability of extracting the CT of any curse spirit of semi-grade 1 and up, giving now Pseudo Geto the abilty to use Idle transfiguration (more info will be revealed in the next episode), also Mahito is dead.
2. Choso's brother situation: just like Choso said during the episode, he can perceive every "mutation" present in his brothers and death is the greatest of them all, he perceived this in Yuji when the latter was close to death, indicating to him that he has a blood relationship with Yuji. Choso thought this was possible because of him remebering who Pseudo Geto might be, back in S1 we see the same image of Noritoshi Kamo, the worst sorcerer in history, (not the Kyoto student) but with his umbrella covering his stitched forehead, this means that Pseudo Geto is actually the one deserving of that title and since he his one of the three parents of Choso, he is hinting at the fact that Yuji might have some connections with Pseudo Geto.
Uzumaki means 'Spiral'
And the design of uzumaki at 8:06 is reference to junji ito's horror manga 'Uzumaki'

to be fair, the author himself forget stuff quite often and start adding random bs in later chapters
But to me they didn't frame it that way. It comes off more like he's just having some fun, taking a moment telling stuff to others (which doubles as exposition for the audience). Also, he immediately said afterwards how he's acting more and more like real geto. So yeah i didn't get the vibe that he simply wants to enhance his technique.

Not spoiling the relationship between Choso and Yuji but if you notice the BRAIN inside Geto, is a ancient sorcerer who is a skin-changer...switching bodies over the ages.
The old Naritoshi Kamo was probably a good man until this BRAIN got hold of him. Also we dont know anything about Yuji's parents....we are still in the dark here.
from the standpoint and knowledge of our characters the geto guy is AT LEAST 150 years old. He can be waaaay older. Kamo Noritoshi (who by accident had the same name as the kamo noritoshi now), was just one of the sorcerers he possesed in the past. like geto now. He used kamo from back then to like make choso or interfere with the mother - curse relationship.
What I think is that Kamo could have interfered with Itadori's bloodline from anywhere from his parents to great-great-great-...-grandparents, as we don't know whose body he was in before getting Geto's body. So yes, even Yuji's parent can be Kamo! Which also aligns with his grandpa wanting to talk about his parents and that he "should know about it".

the reason why they are brothers is because one of yujis parents was possessed by the brain, this isnt a spoiler because its easy to connect the clues to this conclusion, it couldnt have been a distant relative being possessed because its specified to be a brother, the thing possessing geto right now is older than 150 years and is constantly changing bodies that means at some point it possessed yujis parents for it to makes sense. choso has three parents kamo noritoshi, his mom and a curse, the curse is the thing possessing geto. and no kamo couldnt have been yujis parent because hair colors are different.
