I play Dota, but i am also following the lol pro scene, i got introduced to it by my friend a lol player. For those of you who don't know, TI8 the Dota version of worlds just ended. Without telling you which game pro scene is better and more exciting, i kindly ask that you check the Dota TI8 finals and compare to the lol finals, then decide for yourself what is more interesting to watch.
Dude, I am the same. I can barelly watch LOL, its so boring. On Dota fights even start before 0:00 timing, because they have to fight for runes... And the TI8 semifinal OG vs LGD and final Was AMAZING, I was watching with my 2 friends who had like 3 games of dota and they were interested to, because it was so intense.

Rowena Jasmin Arcilla yea but unlike skt who relies mainly on faker to carry his team and make openings for them. SSG is a balance team that can handle themselves on their own that what makes their team more entertaining to watch than skt who relies on one person.
This game demonstrated the value of: (a) strategy, (b) reconnaissance, (c) denying your opponent battles on his terms. All the people saying "it's boring", Christ, are you here to watch a strategy game or gaze blindly at pretty explosions?
SKT needed to force more fights mid game. They had a lot better team fighting comp and instead they just slowly kept growing their deficit getting futher and further behind. Obviously I'm not pro I'm only a gold 2 player lol but that's just how I see it, they needed to force a fight and get back into the game when they were only like 2-3k down and still winnable.
dang, and here i was reserving to watch the game on my 50in tv instead of laptop, only to find disappointment on a bigger screen....wont even bother watching game 2 and 3. i mean when peanut stole the baron, y didnt they just run back to base buy and push... i understand peanut was in a cc chain so his death isnt too bad, then faker decides he can gank 5 champs with like 20% hp and gets k0d, wolf and bang get ganked by the kennen bang thinking he can kite the whole team back to base...huni made the right choice instead of trying to 1v5 the enemy....what a throw.
It's not the right choice. You just got a miracle Baron steal. 4 people with Baron WAS their opportunity to fight. Then they can look for a fight. That's a much better opportunity. If they don't get their fight then, that's fine, they regain control of the lanes, get a couple turrets, even the gold. Take it from there. They don't need to rush it right then. They DON'T need to kill Samsung right then... if they even could.

Objective gold. Also this isnt bronze. People dont die randomly in lane. That means saying someone hasnt many deaths doesnt mean he didnt get outpressured.

But the kill values generally stay low, cs values stay high, pressure is the same, supports rush ardent censor, and everyone buys like 12 pink wards
Austin in LOL, unlike Dota, denial of resources to the enemy is not very valuable on cost/reward scale and is rather hard, while acquisition of resources is extremely valuable and is rather easy. So naturally a lot of focus is placed on farming. In Dota denial is much more valuable and so acquisition is much harder. So much more focus is placed on disrupting the enemy which leads to much more fighting and action in general.
+MrRavellon isn't killing your enemy denying them of farm? And how is that not valuable when lol doesn't have the buy back mechanic so i think dying is more punishable there than dota. This is what support player needs to do gank their carry to deny them of farm so in lol support just only farm too?
