Watched this movie with my wife recently. I first watched in back in 2002 when I was 16 and the movie is just as eerie now as it was for me back then. My wife said this scene was like a video game in movie form and I agree. Characters holed up in a small building while battling a seemingly endless barrage of the undead, it's just perfection!
@@TheNotoriousKAZ86 It's literally "The Last Stand" franchise playable on "Armor Games". A true classic of JAVA games. Gather supplies during the day and in the night you defend yourself against the undead horde charging against your barricade. You can even rescue other survivors who then help you out defending against the zombie hordes. PS: Molotov Cocktails are not the best Zombie Weapons. If they are the living fast running type. They will get to you before they burn to death. If they are the slow undead type. It takes several minutes for them to die. After all the only way to kill them is by destroying the brain. It's only really good when the Zombies are trapped somewhere. Also there is the danger of setting things on fire you aren't supposed to. Even historically. The point of Molotov Cocktails was not to kill the enemy, but drive them out of cover so you can shoot them or block the way. Zombies neither know fear or pain and don't use cover.
The way zombies move in this movie was always the best part for me. They just slowly walk forward, silent, with their heads down, like they are sleepwalking. One of the creepiest zombies ever. I love this movie - my favorite Fulci flick
@@KorbynTaylor The only solace I take in running zombies is that at least they'll tear you apart relatively fast. Romero and especially Fulci Zombies will PEEL you apart, drag you into wooden splinters, it'd be like getting eaten by old people at a buffet.
bro. directors knew how to make zombie movies back then. this is so much better that than bs show walking dead, etc. zombie movies have been awful ever since that pitiful movie 28 days later came out. even the music in this scene is on point
Slower zombies are much scarier. Fast zombies will finish you off quickly, but these ones eat you slow. They are quieter, they would make you think because you can run faster than they can move it's not scary and your not in danger, but it's a false sense of security, imagine running away from a pack of zombies only to find your self at a dead end in an alley, you know you are dead but you have to wait untill they catch up to you. Faster zombies are also more vulnerable to errors, more main characters would be dead (if they lived in a real world, which is what makes the idea of zombies scary) for example, in 28 weeks later, in the beginning zombies break into the room and kinda stand there so he can think about saving his family or not but if they were traditional zombies they would slowly filling up the room, giving more realistic moments to pause for decision making.
Running zombies never worked for me, running gives them some humanity still, while the classic ones are dead bodies wandering around with minimal instincts. And yeah, like you said the classic ones may be easier to avoid and escape from early on, but sooner or later they'll catch up to you. They're like inevitable, much creepier than the fast ones.

The shot where the zombie is slowly coming through the window and the camera follows actor Al Cliver's shotgun as he pops that sucker in the back is beautiful cinematography. 🤌🏼 I really dislike these zombie flicks that have snarling fast zombies that sound like velociraptors (with the exception of the Dawn of the Dead remake and 28 Days/28 Weeks later, they worked well there). Fulci's zombies are terrifying. Love how he directed them to have their eyes closed or barely open, to the effect that when a person dies, their eyes are sewn shut or have contacts with barbs placed in to keep them shut for funeral services. Fulci knew what he was doing. Or he had makeup make it appear as if the eyes were missing. I've always laughed at zombie movies that have grotesque make-up yet the eyes are bright and full of life. Fulci kept it simple and it worked. Eyes closed or missing, disfigured or decaying, slowly moving and coming to eat you!! 🧟♂️🧟♀️🧟💀😨

Zombies in classic movies were really scary. May be they look slow and sometimes even ridiculous but they do look spooky.
battle
This is the best climactic battle against zombies in any film
Hab mein Leben Lang immer die gleichen filme gekauft.
Erst VHS dann.....😮
I love the sound of the hand gun 70s and 80s sound effect 😂❤
Good! The clip was cut before the embarrassing part. Ugh.
man, I hate when they put some stupid modern sound effect on top in rerelease, like this shotgun sound
Fuck yea
why they take cover???? the zombies no have guns and why they fire a place made of wood??...
I'm a fan of slow zombies but these zombies are almost TOO slow lmao. you could outrun these things if you were paralyzed and stuck to a wheelchair.
that's the scary thing about them. They don't need to run fast to catch their prey. And they barely make any sound so they're good at sneaking up on you. One could be in the next room slowly making it's way to you and you wouldn't even notice.
go that bs of 28 days/weeks later and the dawn of the dead remake then...
@@nickv.s125 very well said, the perfect example is on SHAUN OF THE DEAD, while they are both watching the news on the tv, you can see on the background there's one zombie walking and simply just enters their door without them noticing. They are great threats to unsuspected victims.
More cheese than a Wisconsin phonebook...🤠
Love these movies...
That music leaves you hopeless.
Bought this collector's edition DVD at a Virgin Megastore back in early 2000's. I only bought it cause the cover art looked awesome. After watching, it did not disappoint. This is a classic and Fulci is a legend. This scene has a Resident Evil 1 feel to it with the slow moving zombies and the music, I love it!! 🧟♂️🧟♀️🧟💀😨
