I would love to learn flash better but I find it so intimidating and hate the thought of having to carry extra things with me, I feel like there is already so much to think about!
You can get regular AD200 pro for a very low price right now. I think your better off buying the older model for the much lower price. The only advantage I see for the pro II is the modeling lights (which I don't use). A lot of people rave about the new screen. I hardly ever use the screen on my AD200 pro as I control everything with the trigger. Save yourself some money (quite a bit) and just get the AD 200 pro.
Hi Rudy, one question: Is the modeling light enough to give an idea of how the light will come out of a softbox ? The whole thing, not just the center. I'm using modeling light not as a focusing tool, but as a preview tool. I'm not looking for a powerfull modeling light, but one that is enough to at least have an idea when I feather my softboxes... I'd like to buy one like this only for the new modeling light feature, something I've been looking for on a battery powered flash, for quite some times... Thanks for the informative video 😃
Hi, thank you! It really depends on what situation you are looking to use the modelling light in, with a softbox it's more useful indoors for studio shoots and in moderate situations outdoors. It's not as strong as the flash so it can be hard to use if you're in direct sunlight. There are some nice preview features too, like you can have the modelling light adjust with the power of the flash although it's not a direct comparison. Hope that helps 😊
I have the X3 and the this light and I could get the trigger to go down to 1/512. I even updated the X3 to the latest firmware I I wasn’t able to do it :/
Do you use a flash or prefer natural light? Let us know! 👇

Natural light when I'm lazy. In SG we have opposite problem of UK. Everything is always super punchy because of the sun and bright colors.
@@liaotech6185 So true!
flash photograph is a right of passage for a real photographer
Natural light only because I'd have no idea what to do with a flash!

Nice work on these. Those models were fire too but the cat has such pretty eyes!
Lovely photos. Even though I'm more of a hobby portrait shooter it's really interesting to see how you used it.

1:54 good lordy 🔥
I had so many issues with connection issues when trying Godox in the past, so now I only use 1st party flash.
Sorry to hear that! We've had issues when trying to use older triggers so you need to make sure you're using one that's fully compatible!
Great Video
Appreciate that! :)

Interesting...so because this it not really designed to be on camera flash do you think it's better to buy something like the v1 for that use case?
No it's designed for off camera use so I'd go with something else if that's your main use case.
@@RudyVisuals I see, thanks for the reply!
Is the photo samples SOOC or with edits?
These are edited :)
