No disrespect to anyone who feels strongly about swimming with dolphins, but ...
1) I swam with a dolphin. I didn't kill it and consume it afterwards, nor did I or any of the staff torture one. To assume otherwise is idiotic.
2) If I had any inkling that this sort of thing happened at the facility I went to, I never would have gone in. I did my research, these guys do not hurt dolphins.
3) People are entitled to their opinions, and I respect that.
But when people who have an opinion that may differ from mine start sending uneducated hate mail for having said different opinion, that's where I draw the line.
4) Anyone who dares comment on how I should live my life, or has the audacity to admonish me for choices I made in the past will have their comment swiftly deleted and blocked.
5) And if you honestly wanted to make a difference and 're-educate' people, is insulting them mercilessly the best way to do it? Talk about hurting your own cause.
P.S: Go ahead and add your dislikes, you're actually increasing my engagement scores to make the video more visible. You would be better off doing absolutely nothing. Literally.
I had the pleasure of visiting this location a few weeks ago and it was amazing! The staff was very kind and knowledgeable, the facility was clean and it was blatantly obvious the staff care deeply about their dolphins. Swimming with dolphins has been line #1 on my bucket list for over 35 years and is one I will remember forever. Dolphins Plus thank you for the opportunity!
Yes, I agree. The staff at Dolphins Plus were wonderful and there were no indications that anything amiss was going on.
I've had a recent spate of 'activists' show their disdain for this video, but I'm so glad you had a good time.

How long are you actually in the water with the dolphins
Rather than go to this sort of place, I prefer to go to something along the lines of Captain Daves Dolphin & Whale Safari (in SoCal-but I'm sure other places have similar) where I can see them in their natural environment happy and free. There's something magical about seeing them in their own environment interacting with the boats out of choice and not forced. (At Captain Dave's there's also an underwater pod you can get into so you can "swim" with the dolphins!) Oh-and also to the Ultimate Bucket List people-Your video was nicely made and the use of the go-pro--I'm not putting down the video in itself--it's just that I don't support the captive dolphins thing. :) Have a good day! :)
That's a very educated and level headed comment. I appreciate your view and certainly don't disagree with anything you said.
I'm of the opinion that every captive dolphin facility isn't 'evil', nor does every facility mistreat or abuse dolphins in the manner that is portrayed in programmes like 'Blackfish' and 'The Cove'. That's my opinion. I'm not denying it happens, it certainly does. I just don't believe that this facility did that ... otherwise I wouldn't have gone in.
I've received abuse from animal 'activists' who are incredibly angry, yet they're probably the most hypocritical people on the planet.

I'm gonna do this for my upcoming 18th birthday! 😍 I've always loved dolphins so much, i live in florida so im always looking for them at the beach. I swam with sharks on my 16th birthday and that was also amazing.
I think this is the place I'm planning to go to, I can't wait to finally get up close and interact with such amazing animals💙

Are you allowed to feed the dolphins at all?
I ask because I was reminded of Homer Simpson teasing the dolphin with the little fish, only to have his hot dog stolen.
Not on this occasion. Dolphins diets are strictly controlled as using food is one of the methods that they train them. If you go to a place like Seaworld, you can pay money to feed dolphins, but it's usually at their designated feeding time. Here, you get to swim with them and it's AWESOME!
