After dealing with Belome. Frog Sage says someone that makes bombs wants to show off. Well...the only guy that fits that description is Punchinello. So at Moleville back into the mine where you fought him.
He's much tougher than he was before. His defense has skyrocketed to where you do single digit damage. This boss fight is now a gimmick. You need to have mastered Perfect Hits. Not just timed hits. Getting the frame perfect hits. You have to attack the Bomb-ombs with perfect hits to turn them around and make them attack Punchinello. It's easier on some attacks than others. Any that attack you will likely one shot a party member if not perfect guarded.

This time, your attacks always deal less than 10 damage to Punchinello, and his bombs hit you really hard. But if you attack his bombs with perfect timing, you’ll turn them around so they hit him instead. If you got the chain chomp from Booster Tower, then after you defeat Punchinello again, he’ll upgrade the chain chomp into a wonder chomp. The attack power on it is massive. Next up is Booster, and this one can be a nightmare if you don’t know what you’re doing. You can end up getting a game over as early as 2 turns.
