    Not a coffee snob at all, I remember my grandmother making coffee for me like this, little pour over device, loved it. Now I’m 27, and absolutely love my $20 drip coffee pot. I’ve met a lot of coffee snobs, French press, and stainless espresso machines. Makes me appreciate my $20 pot even more.

    My thought.. Would be ..to put the paper filter Into the little strainer THEN pour the boiled water... a little easier clean up afterwards.. ?
    Thanks for sharing your idea

    Y did u put a coffee filter below the sifter?

      @@lindsaycotter The question wasn't "Did you...?". The question was "WHY did you...?". If you had put the sifter below, and the filter on top of the sifter, the sifter would have acted more as a support, and the filter would have held in all of the coffee grounds (just as it would in a normal coffee pot). Then the filter could have just been discarded with all the coffee grounds inside, and no mess to clean up with the sifter.

    Ummm you do know the coffee maker just pours the hot water in and a normal pour. It doesn’t pause between pours. You need to get the flavor out the grains at one long pour.

    🙋‍♂️ i want ask something, what if we brew coffee powder in hot boiling water above the stove? then we filtering the coffee, is this good or?? what do you think?

    • @lindsaycotter
      @lindsaycotter  Рік тому

      Do you mean instant coffee? If so you wouldn’t need to filter it. Maybe use a frother to make it extra creamy!

      That’s how the old time cowboys did it. Quart of water over an open flame. Drop in quarter cup grinds. Simmered and then let rest a few minutes till the grinds fall to the bottom and pour slowly.

      @lindsaycotter  2 місяці тому

      Yes, you need something to strain the coffee grinds. A paper towel might work! A thin one or a cheese cloth
