Though I have always loved the Kishore Kumar version, this is my favorite. Classical music in its purest form. Parveen Sultana and Rahul Dev Burman have created magic here. What brilliant singing and music. Wah! This one is for the soul. I feel so much emotion when I hear this that tears of joy well up in my eyes. Such is the power of this Masterpiece. 😇

This is a masterpiece by Sultana. This shows the limitations Kishore had. Look at the murkis , Taans and alaap here , all mising in Kishore song. This is the difference when you are trained and amatuer singer. People bring about debates about Kishore Vs Rafi and Mana dey. Kishore fans should hear this and understand that there is a genre which was beyond the reach of there idol , who thrived on easy , lighter notes .
This shows the immaturity in you as a listener. The same song was presented in two absolutely different ways due to the requirement of screenplay. Go back to check and hear again.
