My lessons 20 years ago taught me Steep and drive the ball into the ground. And its possibly why I quit playing 15 years ago. Now at 57 and starting back. Your methods are so different than what I was taught. But your methods and swing thoughts are getting me much better results! I need to plan a trip to Shreveport soon!!

I just re-watched this video and gave this drill a try. As promised it stunk at first but I have been sticking with it. Once I gave up on steering the club and let my body do the work, I'm seeing noticeable improvement. I kept trying to steer the club with predictably un-predictable results. I then went all in and actually closed my eyes during the downswing so all I had to go on was arm and body rotation. I finally got the feel of dropping the club as the hands get past center. I've since started working up and down the bag to try and get this feeling with all my clubs. Its easy to get off track and forget the weight shift or stop shoulder/arm rotation but when you follow the advice it works well.

I really appreciate that you didn't edit out that shank, seriously. So many coaches claiming instant results or "it's like cheating". I know I need many thousands of slow reps to learn, and I appreciate you guys setting accurate expectations. Now off to the range

This is one of the best instruction videos I have ever seen. The drill at the end is the way how to open a window to understanding and FEELING of body and hand path and its dynamics. Especially the suggestion to let the club drop on the ball by upper body/left shoulder going up, back and arround without guiding it by hands is incredibly usefull for me. Big thanks, AMG!

This has a lot in common with the Faldo Pre-set drill. Would love to see you expand on how to take it to a full swing. For me, the Faldo drill gives amazing results, but getting from transition back to that awesome starting P6 position at full speed is where I break down.

First of all, I love these videos. You guys have improved my swing a lot by changing my intentions. I know you all said you weren’t going to cover the backswing in this video, but I think my backswing is causing me to hit fats and thins. In my backswing, after I transfer my pressure to the right, I think I am overdoing the recentering at the top of the swing. Is there anything I can do or any feels that I can have to not overdo the recentering?

Great video as always. I wonder which youtube golf teacher will be the first with an eyeball view lesson. What should you actually be seeing and where should your eyes be focused? And how? Why?

Do you have a drill for getting the hands on the back thigh at club parallel?

One issue I have with the drill and that is I need to open my hips when shaft is parallel right away. If my hips are square to target line there is no way for me to drop the club into impact. Sean looks like his hips are neutral or square at the start of the drill. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Do you recommend doing this on grass or will a mat work? I ask, because I bought a industrial grade mat and would like to do it at home but if it will hone a crap swing then forget it. How often would you recommend doing this drill? Daily?

Just a question, when I do the closed clubface drill to keep it from going left I notice with out even thinking in the transition I am opening and squaring the clubface, is this what is supposed to happen. Also I hit the ball real well like this so won't doing the same thing with a square club face result in a open club face at impact and still having to close the blade ?

Should the ball be played that forward in the stance? It seems to be in front of his lead foot.

I have tried this along with countless others and no matter what I do I can not stop the thinned shot. Every single club from driver to putter
