And if you watch their latest Jimmy Kimmel interview, Gillian answered vaguely it was about her hair being so difficult on set and David had to wait and she said it ADDED problems which she didn't say what. About the it's not gonna happen comment, I think they might have tried it or talked about it and it was proven a disaster. Or you know, when you are so close with someone and you know them too well that you still love them no matter what, you just know you don't want them to be your lover. It wasn't until 2006 when David and Gillian reached out to one another when Gillian was facing her worst demons. I assume that they started to repair there relationship because they were very friendly and happy in 2008 but Duchovny's demons finally caught up to him in turn Gillian was there for him just like he was there for her in 2006.
