The only thing I can think about while watching this is how much my dad would have loved this place. He was a salt water aquarium lover and had so many tanks in our house, my mom used to get so mad because he kept getting more and more tanks to grow coral in in our basement. I have so many memories of helping my dad with the tanks. This video makes me smile thinking of how much he would have loved to be there.
@@daybot5720 he was. He absolutely loved salt water tanks. We had so many set ups to the point we needed those giant black feeding troughs you see at farms that are the size of a bath tub (I think we had the 700 gallon ones) at one point we had 3 of those plus one of his old tanks just to grow and cultivate the various salt water corals and other salt water plants (it’s been so long I don’t remember the proper terms anymore sorry) some of my greatest memories with my dad was the various science projects I did every year for school that we got to choose what we did and I always did something with the tanks/corals. My teachers and all the students used to love it because no one ever did anything like that and it was really fun to have my dad teach me everything about how to properly care for everything. He would show me how to do it and then would let me take it over from there (usually the projects were done over several weeks) he wanted me to do it for myself but of course still monitor me so I didn’t kill the coral lol. We had built a room in our basement that my sister and I had lived in throughout the years (we switched every few years don’t know why) all the giant feeding trough tanks where just outside the door of the room my dad had built and one night I woke up and realized some of the tank lights were no longer get lit up when they should not have been off. So I of course jumped up to check what was up. And I stepped into the doorway I stepped in water and immediately could not move and was experiencing horrible pain because I was literally being electrocuted. I had stepped into water that was charged because not all the breakers tripped after something failed and the tanks flooded the basement (I don’t remember exactly what failed or what caused the water to spill over, I was still in middle school maybe high school) thankfully it wasn’t too bad because I wasn’t seriously hurt but my dad definitely got an earful from my paramedic mother who wasn’t happy that he daughter got electrocuted. It’s funny now but at the time it definitely was not funny. Those days with my dad are some of the best memories I have with my dad. I know if he and my mom were still alive they would still be bickering over the amount of tanks in the house and my dad would be teaching my nieces all about salt water tanks and corals and they would have those same expert that I did.
