Trouble in paradise... Jonah is bothered by Kelly believing in angels. Will they ruin Garrett's weekend plans?

Meanwhile, a personal agreement between Glenn (Mark McKinney) and Dina (Lauren Ash) gets heated when Glenn brings in a lawyer. ABOUT SUPERSTORE
America Ferrera and Ben Feldman star in the hilarious workplace comedy "Superstore," about a unique family of employees at a supersized megastore. "Superstore" centers around Amy (Ferrera), who recently was promoted to be the store manager and is the glue holding the place together, and Jonah (Feldman), a dreamer determined to prove work doesn't have to be boring. Their fellow associates include the sardonic Garrett (Colton Dunn), the sweet and clueless Cheyenne (Nichole Bloom), and the perpetually dismissed Sandra (Kaliko Kauahi). Also on the team are Glenn (Mark McKinney), who stepped down as manager in an attempt to have more family time, and Dina (Lauren Ash), the aggressive assistant manager who enforces Cloud 9 policy with an iron fist. Mateo (Nico Santos) was also part of the team, most recently as the self-promoted floor supervisor, until being detained due to his undocumented status.

If you work at a store of that nature. You literally can, and very easily, depending on your position at the store. If you are a floor worker, you can easily disapear for a few hours and its... unlikely that anyone will notice unless you make it a regular thing.
@@alicebluenote1438 Maybe in stores where you live. Where I live, stores like this one sign their workers up in pairs, so disappearing for a few hours is impossible without your workbuddy noticing. Ofcourse, you can always try and get them onboard, but then the work doesn't get done and the boss will notice nothing got done at the end of your shifts. Also, bosses are pretty quick at figuring out who the slackers are and are more likely to assign them to spots where they can easily be checked on about their work progress.
It is, however, pretty easy in the warehouse. At least in our store. Those guys know exactly when trucks are due and which deliveries are coming that day and where they should be stored. They frequently run ahead of schedule and just walk around with a broom in their hand, trying to look busy while not actually doing anything. Everyone knows, but nobody cares, as long as the work is done at the end of the day.
Jonah was so good for Amy and so bad for Kelly, Kelly deserved so much better

Except what you believe is stupid. Christians are the FIRST people to get condescending about people believing non Christian things.
Honestly, that's basically the premise of almost every episode in this show. At least one character has trouble dropping a small subject, and they wind up making a mountain out of a molehill and dig themselves into a deeper hole. It's either that, or they spend the entire episode over-compensating by trying way too hard to prove something to themselves and/or everyone. Examples: Amy annoyingly trying to convince everybody that she and Adam were happy when he was working a seasonal job at the store, and when Mateo tells Amy that he's dating Jeff, the secret spreads, and Amy makes it WAY worse because she couldn't just shut up.
Not period, if your belief in faith-based-saving-creatures encourages people to use spirit-science/faith-healing in leu of modern medicine then it actively is something detrimental.

Aren't biblical angels very different from conventional angels? Rather than humans with wings & halos, they're more like flaming rings covered in eyeballs, with six wings.

Not exactly. The bible mentions multiple classes of angels. The highest classes of angels are those giant scary beings but the lowest classes are the typical pretty humans with wings and halos. Both ends of the spectrum are in the bible

I had a really hard time with Jonah this episode because his attitude towards Kelly believing in angels. I’m not sure if he’s doing it so that he convince Kelly that angels aren’t real or so that she can cancel their airbnb date to hang with Garrett. Either way, that attitude sucks.
