In Gran Turismo, 95% of your speed comes from gearbox tuning. The other 5% that made you go from Tier 1 to Tier 1 Elite, was suspension. I wrote a whole tuning bible back in the day on it for drag racing 3K. Front up rear down, front down rear up, slammed, raised, balanced. 😎👍
I feel this comment. Almost never faster and always harder to handle. Gear ratio tuning on the otherhand, yess.. but you can't do that in real life..well not without $$$$$, literally 50000 different combinations at least per transmission done in 5 seconds between laps.
Its absolutely mental technology like this is available to the public. TT suspension, you've created black magic here. The way this was explained made it seem like a relatively simple concept, but the level to which this can be fine tuned is genuinely astounding. You've gone and done it again Taz. Class interview mate. Theres no other content like this on UA-cam - This is also the first breakdown of active suspension ive seen outside of F1 applications.

The second podcast interview Andre did with Sander Marquez touches on this a little as well in relation to using it for a hill climb application. Early 90's F1 tech. available to the likes of us. Back then transponders were used at various points around the track, so the suspension would adjust to pre set parameters, inc pitch at that particular point. If they are not prohibitively expensive I'll order a set. The potential for improved traction is intense
love how the aero on the back of that car makes it look like something completely different than how it started..like you can kinda see the rear end from the back a bit and get a hit.. lol

When others are just getting ready to go take on their first build they are all sold on the power upgrades, meanwhile they have rusted out pipes and control arms that are flaking off the car. I use to be that person..
In your case, I'd drive it and get a feel for it and from that point decide on a direction as you don't need to spend a exuberant amount of money to setup your car to feel right with you with the reason being that a specific suspension, alignment, brakes, etc may work well for one individual, it may not be the case with you and need to experiment and figure it out as you progress and will eventually get the car that fits you to a T.
That system came on the Volvo S60r since 2004, it's named 4C by Continuously Controlled Chassis Concep.. It also breaks tires on the fly to correct any wheel spin and maintain traction in all driving condition...
90s Toyotas with TEMS had solenoids inside the damper to control the presets of the dampers. Obviously not with as much precision. Tech advancements are lovely.
