This is awesome. I have seen a few tinikling dances but I have never seen it turn from a 2 bamboo to 4 bamboo like the dance of the Muslim princess- Singkil. Well done.
I remember the first time i saw this on the Lubok river, I was so amazed I was laughing historically while I was video taping it. -Only in the Philippines! I mix flamenco guitar with Philippine music, and I play this song as part of my act. I hope some day I can find someone to do the dance.
We actually had to learn this in middle school down here in South Carolina. Talk about pain getting your foot caught in that thing lemme tell ya! I know how hard this is to do, awesome job girls!
Excellent! Enjoyed the Dance very much. Have some bamboo sticks in my music classroom but not sure where to start to teach this style of dance. Share ideas? Ms. Goodhead
i watched them just by their footsteps...and in the faster part of the vid i was like " OMG..skip faster and run for your lives!!!..xD" ..i know how it feels to have a mistake and get hit by the bamboo stick....ouch
Jessica Dabandan is there a link you could send me that has just the music? I did this dance on my dance team at Brigham Young University and loved it. Now I'm teaching it to my 4-6th grade students. By the way you guys are amazing!
