"NEW KastKing MegaJaws Elite Baitcasting Reels (www.amazon.com/dp/B09B72P8BK?..., the world’s most versatile baitcaster, are built for Pro and serious recreational anglers who want all the best features in one fishing reel. KastKing included their best technology and components in this unique fishing reel.
It starts with a CNC machined, non-flexing aerospace alloy aluminum frame and carbon side covers with a Swing-Wing design so you never lose a side cover. This casting reel setup keeps the weight to only 6.4 oz. An extra low profile 41 mm total height makes this Palm Perfect baitcaster fit comfortably in your hand. It reduces fatigue. You will want to fish with it all day long.
MegaJaws Elite fishing reels have a revolutionary, patented-design "Auto-adjustment Magnetic Braking System” (AMB) that never backlashes. Automatic braking, without using electronics, is a big deal for baitcasting reels. The AMB system automatically adjusts the brakes depending on the speed of the spool. With the KastKing AMB system you can cast farther and never have to worry about backlashes. It puts you in control. Over 100 yds casting? Not a dream any more.
An exciting component is the Flipping Switch. Flip the switch to engage the flippin’ - pitchin’ feature. Depress the thumb bar and it lets your line out; release it and stops line. Also great as a freshwater reel or saltwater fishing reel for bottom fishing.
KastKing knows how tough fishing tournament competition can be on fishing gear, so the 7075 aerospace aluminum main gear was hardened to an extreme Rockwell Hardness 80 level. Stronger manganese brass pinion gears increase longevity and durability and gives a smooth cranking feel under heavy load in both the 7.2:1 and 9.1:1 gear ratio models. A 17.6 lb three-disc carbon drag is flawless and engages without hesitation. MegaJaws Elite has a 9 + 2 + 1 double shielded stainless ball bearing configuration with two super-bearings on the spool that spin two times longer for casting to distant targets. Included are a spool tension knob with click detents and an oil service port for easy maintenance.
MegaJaws Elite baitcasters have a unique funnel shaped ceramic line guide system - KastKing LFTV (Low Friction Tapered Vortex). They greatly reduce fishing line friction through the guide giving you super long casts and further help reduce backlashes. LFTV makes the difference between a good and a great baitcast reel.
KastKing MegaJaws Elite is the baitcasting reel for Pro anglers and serious fishermen like you."

Awesome review! Also, I’m just a supporter of the brand, no affiliation or vested interest. I had a great experience with the products and customer service. Tight Lines!
Awesome! Thanks for letting me know, so far I’ve had a great experience with kastking as well!
@@8xupoutdoors my two go to reels for daily use are the OG 9.1:1 MegaJaws without all of the bells and whistles running the KastKing 13x Braid (13 carrier) yes it does make a huge difference, second is 6.5:1 Upgraded MegaJaws (non elite) also 13x, and the Kapstan 300 for my catfish/ salmon (KastKing Hammer Braid, extremely abrasion resistant) I have 8#,10#,12#,15#,20#,30#,40# and even 80# in the Kastpro Spectra.
I just might have to get one of those reels. Recently I got a cheap Abu Garcia baitcaster and I can't believe how hard it is to backlash. But it doesn't cast very far compared to my Penn Squall baitcaster. But I can't expect it to with a $130+ difference in price. The Kastking could be good for redfish and trout around the Chesapeake Bay. I'd love to have a baitcaster with fluoro, both of mine have braid. Perhaps the Kastking is a good choice for me.
Most of the time my baitcasters are being used for Trout fishing. I almost exclusively use braid to Fluorocarbon on everything just seems to cast so much better across the board for me.
Thanks for watching! Let us know how it goes if you end up picking one up.

Were you casting with your line going under the line guide rod? (I dont know that's what its called) And your other Reel looks like a Royal Legend elite
You’re the second person that caught that. You are 100% correct. Not the proper setup. Have since fixed it and would still 100% stand behind the review. It’s actually probably more impressive when it’s actually strung up correctly.
Good job in the review, but the music it TOO LOUD!
Thanks for the feedback! We appreciate ways to get better.
I just bought one and I found like all baitcasters, you have to dial in each lure or it will backlash. I didn't see much difference from my other casters.
Definitely still have to dial it in, there’s no “magic” fix. However I did notice that when it would start to backlash the brake system did seem to help prevent it from getting extreme.
I have several Kastking reels and have backlashed them many times, especially the latest one I purchased and put 10lb test line on it. I just put 12lb mono on it to see if that helps some. I have been using bait casting for well over 40 years and I haven't found a reel that doesn't backlash. The irony is that my old Daiwa PMFs will zillions of cast on them still out perform most anything out there, but part of that is certainly the fact I am better with them than the Kastking reels. No doubt though the Kastking reels are fantastic for the dollar!
Absolutely agree. There is no replacement for experience.
Have the red kast king mega jows elite is a great reels for the money kast king mega jows elite is the best love iam looking to get the kastking mega jows elite 7.1to1
Nice! We’ve been super impressed with them. Especially for a value reel they hold up incredibly well.
If you tightened the tensioner knob one click, the backlash would have stopped
Absolutely, for this video was really testing the claims of KastKings new break system. Proper adjustments make a huge difference!
If you have a weighted lure then it should be fine. Break 7 and higher or rats nest. Bait caster normally = heavy lure only.
That’s definitely been my approach so far!
Would have been better off with the motor running instead of the loud ass music lol. I would say only play music while you're not talking and just testing stuff then no music or turn way down while explaining stuff 🙉😬🤣
Still learning thanks for the feedback!
You need to turn down yr back ground music
Still learning, sorry about that.
@@8xupoutdoors all good was just trying to listen to wat yr saying thanks
