The cutting machine should be raised higher. I took the pallet, put it on wheels and put the cutting machine on top. It became much more comfortable. Good luck!
Love the videos keep up the good work. Randomly found your channel, good to see what a day in a print shop is like. I’m from the north, sell prints on Etsy & Amazon looking to expand more into the print side of things and hopefully make it my full job
Just found your page, Great videos, I too started just as covid lock down started, with a small Mutoh eco Solvent printer and have been going from strenght to strenght with no experience in the print industry before🙄Love your clean space wish mine was like that
@@designgaff2025 Yes I have a cold laminator picked it from a guy in wicklow for €400 more than paid for it self, You said something about a self healing mat 8foot x 4 foot where can I get one like it?
Awesome. Thank you for sharing. I love seeing other shops in action. How much does it cost to rent the space you're in? You may have covered it in another video, but I must have missed it.
@@designgaff2025 Man, that is super cheap. I can't find anything around my way for less than $2,500 a month US. And that's for like a 1,200 sq. ft. space, super small.
I have to pay the rent, click charge, and €600 for the Epson (until July) at the start of every month. It's in the region of €1500 and even though I can meet the payment, it gives the savings for new equipment a big hit every month 😒 I couldn't imagine paying that kind of money for rent but then again, 3 years ago, I couldn't imagine having all this cool equipment 😁
Hey! I just came around your channel and I love the content so far! I was wondering what you use to cut the flyers you've printed down to size? Do cut each paper individually or do you use another method?
Thanks Arjan. But God, no, cutting each separately would take the whole day. I purchased a 2nd hand semi auto guillotine for €1000, which cuts them in no time. Its in this video - ua-cam.com/video/BwlUeKUv1yQ/v-deo.html
Thansk :-) Luckily, since I got the Epson, I would have one or two days per week like this. I wouldn't take in that kind of money every day as some days I'd be stuck at the computer a lot more designing stuff, but the average has certainly gone up since I got the Epson :-)
In Ireland, it is called the Studio Pro Semi-Auto Guillotine. I have seen them as different names though. Just Google semi-automatic paper guillotine and you should see similar ones

Thanks. My Epson eco solvent is a money maker 🙂 just need a laminator to go with it now.

Thanks, Mike.
The rent for this place is very reasonable at €650 per month.
12x4 metres upstairs and down.

To be fair, Mike, your place is a lot bigger than mine 🙂
@@designgaff2025 Oh, no that place was the old shop I worked for. That was close to 7,000 sq. ft., but our lease payment was about $8,000 US a month!

Those banner frames are nice, do you have a brand recommendation for those?
Hello. Thats for the comment. Do you mean for the paper?
@@designgaff2025 the frame, not the paper. Roll up display frame. Looks like it’s aluminum.
They would be just the standard frames. This is the link to were I get them - www.mdpsupplies.ie/substrates-signs/roll_up_cassettes
What cutter is that?
