So true!!! It's just like with Steve Perry, when he was let go. In my opinion, Journey has NEVER been the same! When you say Journey, Steve Perry comes to mind!! And it's the same with Bon Jovi! When you say Bon Jovi, Ritchie comes to mind!
@@thequiet1374 Well, neither Richie nor any of the band members worked on the Blaze of Glory album. David Bryan was the only other member of the band who contributed to the Destination Anywhere album.
Their song "Something For The Pain" has to be one of the best songs I know to describe what it's like to be broken-hearted. While being a great power ballad. They started in 1984. You have to be talented to last as long as they have in the music industry. They're my all-time favourite artists, and that's really saying something since I like practically everything from classical to heavy metal. Jon is an incredible person as well. He's a devoted husband to his wife, who was high school sweetheart, and his kids. Not to mention all of the charity work they all do.
Richie Sambora is a fantastic contemporary blues guitarist as proved on his solo album "Stranger in this town". His voice is not dissimilar to Jon's, gritty, powerful with decent range.
J and Amber, this is such an amazing song and I'm glad you picked it for your reaction today! 🙂 It really showcases Jon's vocals and Richie on the Fender Strat!! It's from a fantastic album in 1995 called These Days. I think you both will also love... *Lie To Me* Thank you so much!! ❤ @RobSquadReactions
Jon and Richie have amazing chemistry. I'd suggest Livin on a Prayer/Wanted Dead or Alive acoustic with just the 2 of them.... 1989 VMA's. Their chemistry is off the scale.
One of my favorites from Bon Jovi is Keep the Faith. It's one I listen to when running as it makes me run faster! 🙂 And Jon looks great in the video (as always!)!
*BON JOVI had their highest times between 1988 and ca. 2010 [ The SAMBORA era. ] Most of the songs were composed by Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora. Sambora is one of the most underrated Guitarists and Vocalists EVER. Please react to "Dry County" [ Live from Wembley (London) 1995 ] by BON JOVI.* 🎵🎸🥁🎹🎵🔥😈🔥
What a track & the whole album is magic. This was a popular song when the album dropped but has since been forgotten so I'm glad you guys are able to bring it back to people. 'Hey God' is another amazing song with a harder rock feel that you guys will really appreciate. 🤘
Agreed! I never really noticed Richie until I saw him and Jon sing Bridge over troubled water on a televised fund raiser and Richie's voice was amazing!!
The most powerful song the band did is Dry County. A tale of utter hopelessness and despair when everything you worked hard for is gone. Be warned it's really hard hitting. Amazing songwriting
Hang in there you wonderful two people. You're videos are giving life and hope.... and smiles to countless people out there. It's hard work to make these videos, but it's worth it. Thank you both for your diligence and dedication to giving us, your RSR Family, a bright time in our day. ♥️🌹
What a great song for you guys to react to. The lyrics in this song are so powerful, and anybody that has been thru a hard break up can relate to every word in this song. Jon and Ritchie wrote this with Desmond Child, who is responsible for may of Bon Jovi's hits. Its a gem of a song, and Jon and Ritchie are great together in it. Thank you guys for this, brought back many memories of the past, good and bad
Love Bon Jovi! You really need to listen to "Thank You For Loving Me", "(You Want To) Make a Memory", "In These Arms", "Keep the Faith", so many good songs! Please keep going down their catalog.!
I GOT CHILLS Y"ALL!!!!! OMG!!!! This song ...when I heard it back in the day made me a fan of Bon Jovi!!!! He torn this song UP!!!! I remember!!!! Love LOve this song!!!!
This was the last Great Bon Jovi album. It was called These Days. A bluesy rock album. Something for the pain, These Days, and My Guitar lies bleeding are the standouts, but the whole album was great. They had a few good ones after this, but this was the last completely great album.
I'm 27. I became a fan that was introduced by their post 2000s music. Check out songs like It's My Life, Have A Nice Day, All About Loving You, Make a Memory, This House Is Not For Sale, Every Day, and One Wild Night for more modern Jovi. I listed all ones that have music videos! 😊 I'll Be There For You is one of the best ones from the 80s. Always is beautiful but the video doesn't suit it at all. Some of my favorite ones that don't have music videos include Complicated, Luv Can, Bullet, Any Other Day, and This Is Love This Is Life, and We Don't Run to name a few. 😂
Richie Sambora and Jon were childhood friends and was with Bon Jovi for 30 years, suddenly leaving the band in 2013 while they were on tour needing to spend more time with his young daughter. There's some discord there because apparently they don't speak to each other anymore but I personally feel after Richie left, Bon Jovi has never had the same sound/feel as Richie and Jon were a great writing/producing team. I'm still a fan but not crazy like I used to be.
Sambora and Bon Jovi weren't childhood friends. That was Jon and David Bryan. Sambora was hired as a guitarist when Jon was looking for one to form Bon Jovi.
Hey God and Lie To Me is another songs that is worth checking out from the same album. The whole album is great actually. Also, Bed of Roses as well. Great power ballad from them.
A great song from a great band. I always looked forward to all their music. You always recognize each band's style from their guitarist, Slash, Richie, Sir Brian May, Nancy, Joe Perry, Steve Clark etc you hear the intro and it doesn't take you long before you know who is playing. The 80s is still the best era for me, I loved being a teenage girl back then. Music was the centre of my life then, it kept me grounded and it didn't long for anything else.
I admit I've had forgotten this song. From their "These Days" album, I recall especially "Hey God" (great Rock tune) and "Something For The Pain". In my opinion, these songs deserve more consideration. Another Bon Jovi song I recommend is "Dry County" (from their "Keep The Faith" album): IMO, this is one of the most amazing BJ made in its career.
These Days album was the peak of Bon Jovi's music!!! A totally awesome album. Every track was a killer song, down to the last one on the list, Bitter Wine
Great choice! These Days was an epic album and this song is an underrated Bon Jovi classic. Jon and Richie Sambora are part of the same soul and the perfect pairing as you say. Next up recommend you check out Wanted Dead or Alive and the acoustic version of Livin On a Prayer, it’s very different! If you can, do the unplugged version at the MTV 1989 VMAs. A mash up of the two and it’s incredible. Just Jon, Rich and their guitars 😊 Bed of Roses is brilliant too!
One of my favorites from them. The album that song is from has a more blues feel to it.Always loved this video and the way Richie and Jon act it out.The smile on Jonny’s face tho
The guitar player is Richie Sambora and you guys should really check out his solo album. I would check out “Stranger In This Town” or “Ballad Of Youth”. Very bluesy and he’s a great vocalist on his own .
Rock like this from the 70s 80s 90s will never be the same! Bon Jovi, GnR, Def Leapard Aerosmith, Zeppelin, Floyd, Heart, etc! These groups were built in the streets, schools, in the garage in the parks, pubs clubs and buses sleeping in motels, campers cars😂 They were friends who played the instruments and wrote the music and Rocked it. Nowadays its all done for you.
There you go teasing us again!! No Wanted Dead or Alive yet....geez!!😜 those four guys have been together since the 80s. And if you ever do The Wanted Dead or Alive video make sure it's the official video of them live!! Love peace and chicken grease!! 🤟✌️
1 of my fav bon Jovi hits, Richie sambora is such a underrated guitarist, he's had some brill hits of his own, they were never the same when he left, Jon an Ritchie shared magic. A perfect match.IMHO
The song J keeps referring to that he cannot remember is the song "Blaze of Glory", which was from Jon's first solo album Blaze of Glory for the Motion Picture Young Guns 2. It was released in 1990 and 7 years later he released his second solo album "Destination Anywhere", which won him the Brit Award for Best International Male Artist. That album went more or less unnoticed in the US, but it's probably one of the best albums ever released...period! Back when you guys reacted to Blaze of Glory you mentioned you wanted to hear more of Jon solo, so without further ado, go check out the lead single from Destination Anywhere "Midnight in Chelsea" (long version) or "Queen of New Orleans", "Janie, Don't Take Your Love to Town" (just don't do the short music video version, it doesn't do the song justice), Ugly, "...Suitcase in My Hand" or "Every Word Was a Piece of My Heart"...
Another gem of a song co-written with the one and only Desmond Child who the band have worked with on so many other hits before. Child, like many artists from the Hair Metal of the 80s, had to find a way to reinvent himself in the 90s. This song is one of the results. Ricky Martin is another. And Desmond Child is still writing songs today!
All album THESE DAYS is GREAT!!! Greats ballads are Bed of roses, Thank you for loving me, Living in sin... Not from ballad try Keep the faith, Hey god (live from MTV music awards 95) Love Bon Jovi forever❤❤❤
Fun fact and many doesnt know: RS was back in in the time titled the "best guitarist in the world" he had skills and knew Riffs nobody else could. And the whole band is also in the rock hall of fame immortalized. They also hold the record for the most sollen albums by a rock band. Had the bless to visit two concerns here in germany ^^
This was from 1995, the album 'These days' was a slower Bon Jovi record full of acoustic songs... It was also the first Bon Jovi record without founding bassist Alec John Such, who was fired... Hugh McDonald played bass and joined the band on tour (but wasn't on the cover or band photos) The grunge era of the 90's did slow down Bon Jovi's record sales in the US ('These days' still sold platinum), but Bon Jovi was still massive worldwide... The band did take a break after 1996 to focus on other things... Jon Bon Jovi went for an acting career until 1999... Richie Sambora (guitar) released a second solo album. Bon Jovi reunited in 2000 and made a massive comeback w/ the 'Crush' album and the hit single "It's my life".
These Days came out during the CD single craze of the 90s. All 5 CD singles came in 2 parts and featured tons of unreleased stuff. A song called "THE END" is in my top 10 BonJovi songs of all time
Just react to Bon Jovi every day! You need to react to: Keep the faith, In and out of love, Born to be my baby, Wild is the wind, Blood on blood, Never say goodbye, 99 in the shade, Bed or roses, In these arms, I'll be there for you, These days, Without love... so many more 😅
J and Amber y'all have me in tears. Your unbridled emotions around 3:07 , I felt all the way in Richmond VA.. Wow!! And as far as Bon jovi being a Rock God ICON,?? Just like Paul Harvey used to say.."And n now you have the rest of the story! 😘♥️🥰 .. Got nothing but love for y'all and your family. I can't believe " Papa Lou is 2" but take your time.. that one there is gonna be a " LADY KILLER." ❤ thanks for being here everyday .. we really appreciate you !
Have you done Bon Jovi doing dry county live at Wembley? That is one of my favourite performances- I was at that concert and it was utterly amazing but the performance of this song with the guitar solo just magic
Richie Sambora, the lead guitarist from Bon Jovi is a real good singer too. Two great solo songs of his are "One Light Burning" and "Fallen From Graceland."
Blood on Blood. I'll say it until I die, most underrated Bon Jovi song ever. Instrumental and vocal masterpiece.
Spot on, absolute banger. And how about "Damned" as an absolute gusset-moistening, balls-out rock number?!
An underappreciated Bon Jovi gem
One of my absolute favorite Bon Jovi song AND videos!!! So gorgeous!❤❤
This band is... so underrated. Yes they are popular, but they arent given the respect they truly deserve.
"Something for the Pain", "In These Arms" and "Hey God" are all amazing songs from Bon Jovi
Ritchie Sambora was the guitarist in BJ. Without him there would not have been any magic in the band. Ritchie and Jon were a great duo!
Truth! The magic left the building with Sambora.
Their material since is proof.
Unfortunately Ritchie had drug issues that were negatively affecting the band as I recall. Shame..he did add so much to the sound
So true!!! It's just like with Steve Perry, when he was let go. In my opinion, Journey has NEVER been the same! When you say Journey, Steve Perry comes to mind!! And it's the same with Bon Jovi! When you say Bon Jovi, Ritchie comes to mind!
Pure true

“In these arms” is one of my most favourite songs of theirs. You should really check it out next. I used to play it on loop!
Their song "Something For The Pain" has to be one of the best songs I know to describe what it's like to be broken-hearted. While being a great power ballad. They started in 1984. Y'all have got to check out "Living in Sin". You will hear the power of John's voice and also Richie's on backup vocals.
😍
The video is pretty steamy, just a heads up.
Another great Bon Jovi song you should react to is Bed Of Roses.
Damn i had forgotten about this song.
So pretty.
JBJs vocals in this...chef's kiss!
Don’t care what anyone says, These Days is fantastic. Not one bad song on it.
Richie Sambora is a fantastic contemporary blues guitarist as proved on his solo album "Stranger in this town". His voice is not dissimilar to Jon's, gritty, powerful with decent range.
When he belted that last "Yeah I'm wrong" even my toes tingled!
J and Amber, this is such an amazing song and I'm glad you picked it for your reaction today! 🙂 It really showcases Jon's vocals and Richie on the Fender Strat!! It's from a fantastic album in 1995 called These Days. I think you both will also love... *Lie To Me*

Yes, "Lie to me"
Jon and Richie have amazing chemistry. I'd suggest Livin on a Prayer/Wanted Dead or Alive acoustic with just the 2 of them.... 1989 VMA's. Their chemistry is off the scale.

I forgot all about this song. Thank you soooo much for bringing it back to my playlist.💛💛
This is in my top 5 Bon Jovi songs. Thanks. ❤
These days the album is an absolute masterpiece definitely their finest hour
It's probably one of most underrated Bon jovi songs and still sounds fresh after 28yrs.
This whole album is fire... Lie to Me, These Days, Hearts Breaking Even... little darker than most Jovi but overall great album
*"Bed Of Roses" is from their 1992 album "Keep The Faith". Just sayin'...*
@@NicholasCorvin haha oh yea oops :)
Damned is my favourite song from These Days but the whole album is great.
Easily the best album they did.
Dry County, though. Masterpiece.
