Official tournament rules do NOT state that your opponent must shuffle your deck. Section 3.4 Match Procedure, the following language exists. - “Each player shuffles their deck and offers their opponent the opportunity for additional shuffling and/or cutting.” This means the active player offers their opponent the opportunity for (1 of 3 options): 1. Additional Shuffling and Cutting 2. Additional Shuffling Or 3. Cutting I will be offering my opponent only the option to Cut my deck after I shuffle it.
I will be asking to shuffle and if they decline there could be a judge call… your opponent doesn’t have to shuffle yours but can. If they deny you the ability to shuffle then I will assume they have stacked their deck in a way they don’t want you to shuffle it up
I believe it isn't a hard and/or and it more of a statement that they get to do one of the other based on their preference. And I agree, it isnt a must but a may which is what I mentioned... I always do it to make sure someone isnt trying to stack their deck.
@@TheInkCast As worded, the player OFFERS their opponent. Which means, you, as the player, decides what to offer your opponent. I will only be offering my opponent the opportunity to cut my deck. If they pick it up without asking and start shuffling I will call a judge immediately. If the comprehensive rules were worded as: “Each player shuffles their deck and GIVES IT TO their opponent for additional shuffling and/or cutting” Then the wording would allow the opponent to do what they like with the players deck. My opponent will not be shuffling my cards as I am offering my opponent the opportunity to cut only. A judge should be called if you feel like your opponent hasn’t randomized (shuffled) their deck properly. Finally, I agree it is a not a “must” but even further it’s not a “may” either. Player: “Would you like to cut my deck” Opponent A: Cuts Opponent B: “May I shuffle your deck?” - I will say no, if Opponent B has a problem a judge may be called to observe randomizing (shuffling) procedures. Opponent C: Picks up players deck and starts shuffling (player should call judge immediately) Players deck is at risk of being reverse stacked, scanned during mash shuffle for card advantage and ink color combinations AND improperly shuffling players deck can damage the sleeves and cards. This logic may not be as intended and is dissimilar to other card games. But as worded my statements are accurate.
Great video! As for the Die on the deck bit with locations i also found saying out loud to myself "read, set, draw" has helped me a ton with remembering to do things during set. love the content man keep it up! maybe one day when i get myself in gear to get started making my own we could collab
I say the same thing most games lol. I have just had to break my process of Main/second main while playing lorcana, but otherwise it is always helpful thinking through each step like that Also would love to collab in the future!
Not sure why it wouldn’t be allowed. They did release a few things today like being able to use markers for your ink and the ability to ink a card face up the turn it is inked which will help understand that you inked this turn though
It was asked to a judge today at the DLC and it is legal. Only thing you can’t do it write down hidden or unknown info like what in people hands and inkpile
As a competetive mtg Player, this is a very nice summary thumbs up :)
Hey, thanks!
I re-watched this to prep for DLC Toronto! Thank you kindly for putting this together :)
This is super helpful advice - Lily and I definitely will be bringing snacks
Glad it was helpful! Luckily we did get a 1 hour lunch break but still having some snacks was helpful as a hotdog and chips was $10 😅
Thank you for the info! I want to attend if an event is close enough so this is very helpful.
Dope water bottle 😉
It really is! Loved meeting SD and getting it! Now I gotta get in with RB and get some merch lol
Thank you for sharing
great tips!
Glad you like them!

Channel blast!
Oh this is a GREAT VIDEO!
Nice advice at the start :D
Just got started yesterday :) thank you so much! Thinking of making my own channel to share this hobby too!
Go for it! Let us know if you have any questions or anything! The hardest step is just taking that first step!
Great video! As for the Die on the deck bit with locations i also found saying out loud to myself "read, set, draw" has helped me a ton with remembering to do things during set.

Great Video thanks!
Glad you liked it! I have some more "advanced tips" in mind that I will most likely make when we get back from ATL 😁
Let's be honest, this is for the givy, but I love y'all's content nonetheless!!
Here’s a good old fashioned comment. Will I win? Probably not!
Where do you get your shirts made? There sick!!
Im commenting so hard rn
I play my wet cards upside down so I know they're wet and my opponent can read them better.
I like that idea! makes alot of sense as well so they can read them 😁
Have they ruled on if using a dice to mark top of deck is allowed? I believe it's against the rules but haven't seen an official ruling.

I couldn’t go to the challenge 😢
hopefully another one in the future will work out or you can use these tips for the store championships to win you an ursula!
You guys in Tampa?
yep! We are all around the Tampa area 😁
