I'm hooked on off the grid pants too. The wait was worth it for the new ones. I think the new material is significantly better. The magazine pockets are perfect for holding all my EDC stuff. The shorts are really a game changer. All my stuff is the the same place whether I'm wearing pants or shorts. I hope they do another run of shorts now because the sizes and colors left in stock are pretty limited.
I am working on a new run of shorts. They won't be out till next Feb or around then.

The 5.11 ridge pant is my favorite, a great balance of durability amd comfort (most comfortable pant I've owned, and I'm picky) and they're only $50-60 if you find a sale

Did they add a coin pocket? I Like that option for a smaller knife that both 511 and Vertx provide. Solid pants for sure though.
Nope but it has tons of other pockets like the left leg zip pocket you could use instead. I avoid the coin pocket because when i pull my light or knife out i always push whatever is in there up and out.

I picked up a couple pair of their shorts. I really like the design, but I don't care for the fabric. Kind of feels like stiff bathing suit material. I'd love to see them add a cotton blend to the mix.
I have shorts made of the same material as the trailblazers. They aren’t on the site anymore? I prefer the ones you don’t like. They are stiff enough to carry everything but light and breathable. So i love it. The other shorts can feel a little stiff which is weird because the pants are amazing
They do have them. Havok shorts if you prefer the khaki style material.
I would love to know which shorts you got. I try and make everything feel almost worn in straight out of the bag. Hopefully we can get you in some comfy shorts in the future.
@@OFFTHEGRIDSURPLUS Thanks for the reply! I have a pair of Field Short 2.0s and a pair of Over N Out Hybrid Shorts. The latter is closer what I'm looking for, fabric wise, but still more synthetic-feeling than I prefer. Don't get me wrong -- I still love the shorts and wear them all the time. I'm just more of a natural fiber kind of guy.
@@BladeLabMiami totally get it. I am making a new version of the havok shorts which will be with a natural fiber. I might work on a lighter weight cotton/nylon short and or pant soon as well which I think you would like.
What style Shorts do you wear Kevin? I saw a couple styles on their website
I have both the In and Out, Havok, and Field Short styles. I prefer the thinner more nylon style fabric in the In and Out or Field Shorts. The Havok are basically the same as the Trailblazers khaki pants just shorts, not pants. So depends on your style. The In and Out and Pro Pant are basically the same. See the last 4 mins of the video, the difference is colors, and one has a zip pocket behind the front right pocket and the other has a zip pocket along the leg. So choose by color i would say.
