CashedOutCars hey what insurance company is that I need cheap insurance for mine
@@MikeyCelestine insurance for a miata is generally really cheap. If your dad still refuses to check then go call the insurance company yourself and show the quote to your dad. Im 18 and i pay 110 usd a mo for full coverage In the Sacramento area with StateFarm. I dont have any reducers like student GPA bonus either and if you got those and go for liability only you'll end up paying like 50 max a month.
@@MikeyCelestine sameeeeee it’s so annoying Bc he thinks there going to be stupid expensive
2 years later from across the big pond in The Netherlands, road tax is about €30/month and all-risk insurance is €40/month.
I think I pay Progressive $170ish every 6 months for full coverage on a 91. Cost to register it was $56 I think and paid $200 for the car.
who else thought he was hovering until you noticed the chair
Just noticed that and it’s hilarious
So did I lol
I paid $4500 and put $2800 into her. Though a lot of that was all paying my mechanic. If you can do it yourself go for it.
@Manuel Salgado buy a nice one, maintenance is cheap, they are really fun to drive
ive spent that just in parts
I bought my 1990 na with only 100k miles always garage kept no rust no cracks on dash no leaks for only $2600 it was definitely a steal
Where did u find it like offer up or Facebook
@@isaacabernathy2377 Facebook
that would be 8k+ today >___>
@@yesawwwh6527 fr it’s insane rn
I just bought one for 4 grand 100k miles
Thanks for the vid man !
i was just looking at your channel and you got some really quality videos. keep it up and you will get big
Thanks, I appreciate that. There's lots to come shortly, as well as big plans on the Miata. stay tuned!
I have a 2007 bc and I’ve replaced the thermostat $325 and had oil changes done $50 and done a headlight $15 and brakes myself($240 all four pads and rotors) with the help of some friends and family. The insurance isn’t too bad, about $1400 a year but I am a newer driver being only 19 so keep that in consideration. I drive the car year round and spent 800 bucks on some winter tires and rims from tire rack so everything is easy to switch out. Also had a leak in my exhaust at and rattles at one point so I took it to an exhaust shop. That was all like $200 total. Some work done myself and some at a dealer
The NCs and NDs are definitely different animals than the NA and NB cars. Thanks for the comment, it’ll help people out who want a newer Miata!
Awesome I love these cars!!!
Hi all. Nice motor. I’ve just bought a 1991 mx5 in the much sought after blue colour. FYI the blue colour is exactly the same as the motorway signs in the uk, USA and here in Ireland. I had an identical one years ago and always regretted selling it. So here we are in my mid life crisis ( a young 51 years young!), ready to roll again.
The classic car insurance for my wife and I totals €201 per year limited to 5000 miles.
The vintage road tax here in Ireland is €56 per year.
Love the mark 1 and I guarantee that this one I will never sell!
Happy motoring guys and stay safe.
They're the best, enjoy yours!
FML the NA Miata is like three times the price of the NB where I live :))))
It's getting like that here in the US too now, I'm ready for an NB :)
Looking to get one soon however the only $1,000 Miata I found has a blow engine lol
Price honestly depends a lot on luck! Rarely do cars come up for around $1000 nearly any more!
zxx
@@CashedOutCars this aged well 😀
You’re still finding $1000 Miatas?👀
I live in ca so is like playing for a new miata
Still probably well worth it, theyre great cars!
@@CashedOutCars but the best part is that there is an variety of miatas here
A CHAIR?😳😢😞very helpful video
Geez these costs are so low compared to today.
Oh hey! I have an NB miata, I live in italy and it's my daily. My car was 1400 euros (in decent condition with 245k km, a super deal because miatas starts above 2k), I pay 250 euros for the "bollo" (a tax that we pay on every car/bike we own and depends on the power of the veichle), 500 euros for insurance (12 months), nearly 200 euros for summer tires, 50 euros for spark plugs lead, 20 euros for spark plugs, 20 euros for poly V belts, nearly 50 euros every 10k km for the service (oil, oil filter and air filter), more or less 200 euros for gas every month (1000 km minimum). I don't want to include mods because I would start to be sick 😂.. Italy is one of the worst country to be a petrohead and car mantenience cost is just the top of the mountain. I'm planning to move in a country where owning cars and bike is cheaper and more "user friendly". Cheers!!
going to look at a 1993 with 55k miles tomorrow can’t wait
How'd it go?
You should mention the 1994-98 NA models are equipped with more safety features. The 1989-1993 models can be more expensive to insure because of this.
That’s an interesting point about insurance that I didn’t consider, thanks!
Hi, I have a 91”. Yours is super nice. What is your wheel set up?
Thanks! This set was 195/60R14 Falken 615Ks on 14x6 wheels
I put in 5000.00 on my 03 VW Beetle and was able able to drive it 3 months! Now has a blown head gasket and crack
Sucks bro I know how you feel. Put about $1000 into my e46 and my stupid ass drove it through a flood. Now I think my engine’s toast
why is it so little if its a sports car and a coverable, does that not make the insurance more?
I live in Europe, I'm 18 and insurance would be 2k (doesn't protect my car if I crash it as well)
Wow that’s steep. Maybe wait a bit to see if the price will go down as you get older, I’m sure it will!
@@CashedOutCars Yeah it's a bit sad because I've driven since I was 16 but in my current country the legal driving age is 18. You have to be about 24 for prices to really go down here.
Lol in the UK I pay £250 tax a year on my NB and costs me £1100 to insure at 22
It's really that much? Me and my dad looked up insurance for an MX-5 in my dad's name and it was about 200£ for a full year. I haven't looked it up in my name though. I live in Sweden so prices will probably be different. Also over here we don't pay taxes on cars that are older than 30 years old and the early NA MX-5's are that old now
I want to own one of these but idk how to drive a manual car, are the miatas good for learning manual for people who don’t know?
They’re a great car to learn in since it’s not suuuuper easy like a lot of new stuff (VWs, etc) but isn’t super difficult either. I’ve taught a few people to drive stick in mine
what tires do you have? and what rims do you have?
Falken Azenis 615ks 195/60/R14 on 6.5" old TSW wheels
I’m looking at a 91 5 speed with 1 owner clean title and car is in immaculate condition with 29,000 original miles on body and motor for 12,500 and I truly have no idea is that’s a good deal or not.
The market is crazy right now, if it’s worth it to you to have low mileage and perfect condition then it may be a good deal for you. To me, a Miata is a Miata and can be modified and restored to do what I like, almost regardless of mileage
I bought a Lexus thinking I was doing something smart and I put almost 3k in one month on repairs I need to sell it and get what I can and by one of these my galant gave me far less issues living in regret everyday :(
That’s always too bad when that happens :( miatas certainly are inexpensive to repair and quite reliable. Good luck!
Is this a good car for beginner drivers? I am in NY so insurance tends to be really high but I’m really in love with this car.
They are, I plan on making a video on it once I get my car out for the season. They have some downsides as a beginner car, but they're excellent. Stay tuned!
wow, looks like this stuff is far cheaper in the US than in Europe because my initial investment is already greater than your 4-year costs and it's not like mine's in a great shape or anything
What’s significantly more expensive over there for ownership? I know hard tops are way cheaper, I’m jealous of those prices!
They've skyrocketed in price since the video was made a year ago
Yeah they have, the whole used car market has
When are u gonna install that racing beat header?
Soon! It’ll be a winter break project after the car is off the road for the year, I’m excited for it!
Sick
How many miles do you have on the car. Is it worth buying one of these with 150,000+ miles on it
216k, now with a turbo kit on it! Yeah it’s worth it, as long as the oil is changed and some degree of care was put in they last a very long time
What brake kit did you get that was about $100? every kit I've seen is around $200
It was an ebay kit, keep in mind that most parts stores brakes also are cheaper and come from china. Do your research and you can get decent kits (if nothing else rotors) for a pretty low price. Good luck!
@@CashedOutCars Thank you
180,000 miles on a Miata for 3,600 clean title and no mods in the engine... is it worth it ?? It’s clean yk
What year is it?
could've brought ur mic closer bro
You’re right, I’ve got a different mic ive been using on my recent videos
where can you buy these ?
Miatas, or the parts on mine?
@@CashedOutCars the miatas
I'm a 16 year old boy and i've totaled a car before. I don't think my insurance is gonna be the same as yours. :)
Most likely not, it’ll go down with time though!
Wow what happened?
I could barely see the chair it looks like you’re floating
Oops someone already said this
How bout insurance for a 15 yo male?
Likely quite expensive, I'm not sure how to get insurance under 16 here in the US either
$2.50 a gallon... the old days...
Miss those days, at one point 93 was 1.99 near me!
If you can’t afford to run a Miata there’s maybe no other cars you could afford
if you have to keep saying "like i said" over and over and over again youre bad at script writing
A video like this is hardly scripted :)
