Among traffic and wi-fi signals,
bike paths and overpasses
the river constricts
dilutes itself.
Among margins
campaign promises
speed radar
the emission of pollutants
air quality
the river is passed out.
Exhaust pipes, cars, factories,
trucks, jams,
CO2, greenhouse effect, global warming,
destruction networks
corruption
make the city sick.
The river exhales its pain.
Immersed in its own tragedy
the city doesn't hear the scream
the river overflows its message.
The mud rising from the riverbed
emerges from the ballot boxes
suffocates the streets.
Between corruption and money
progress agonizes
and the river perishes.
